I keep getting an error code 5 from my SkyUI

SkyUI's menus keep breaking and reverting to vanilla (Magic & Favorites menus to be specific)
I Get an error code 5 usually like within 5 to ten minutes of playing. Then when I log out it automatically deactivates along with mods that need it to run.
I don't have 60 fps mod which I saw was known to cause this.

I see that a lot of people are having these type of problem.. Here is a solution that i found ...

Do not disable any thing in MCM menu .... it only stops the error message. If u get and incompatible menu file error just go in you skyrim directory -> Data Folder -> Interface. Find the file name that was in the error message like for example favoritemenu.swf . You just need to cut this file from skyrim interface folder and make a 'interface backup' folder anywhere and paste it in that or if you want to delete it , your choice but i highly recommend to make a backup instead of deleting it ...

Same applies for any ERROR CODE 5 in SkyUI .... This word 100% and you will see the SkyUI menu the next time you start the game.


but I can't find the .swf files on my computer. I ran a search for them but they don't show up.

G:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\interface\skyui

If you can’t find these, I would say SkyUI is installed incorrectly.

I figured out what was causing it.
But There is definitely no interface folder in my skyrim folder at all. I do have a interface folder with all those files in my Enderal folder which is weird tho since I haven't ever played the game (only downloaded it)
So Maybe some how it got put there since you need skyrim se to download enderal.

one other ? if anyone reads this
is there anyway to get the enemy markers back on the UI. I don't mind the quest markers being removed from the UI, but I hate not being able to tell where the enemies are when fighting them. I use fire skills and easily lose track of them in all the burning.

SkyUI error 5 indicates mod conflicts with mods which change the SkyUI files or mods which rely on outdated SkyUI files. if your UI is messed up, like currently, then you have somewhere mods conflicting with SkyUI.

The Culprit was I was trying to switch the load order manually from the start screen (Loot wasn't putting Simply Optimized Textures for SSE at to of load order so i was trying to manually) and every time the game would restart because load order changed it would do it.

I don't know if the UI is messed up, but it just doesn't show me enemy markers on the screen anymore like it did before I installed SkyUI. First time using SkyUI so not sure if that's suppose to be the case or not.
The only issues I have noticed so far is missing textures on this entire set https://youtu.be/LGL1BNR-cXw and none of the jewlery added by Immersive Jewlery mod have a picture when you click on them, but they are all useable.

But yeah I used M02 to install SkyUI
