Permanent Bound Weapons
Had an idea for a Bound Weapons mod to make them able to compete with normal weapons in the endgame, if anyone wants to give it a go.

The new spells would require completion of the Conjuration Ritual Spell quest. They would be a scroll instead of a spell, and would conjure a Permanent version of a bound weapon with no enchantment. It would not be destroyed by sheathing the weapon. The weapon could be improved with Arcane Smithing, probably with something like Daedra Hearts or Filled Soul Gems. Like the normal version, the weapons would be weightless and use less stamina. The damage would be the same as the Mystic Binding version of the spell.

Summary list below

1. Requires Conjuration Ritual Spell quest to be completed
2. Scroll, not a spell
3. Permanent, can be sheathed like a normal weapon
4. Unenchanted
5. Improvable at a Grinding Stone with the Arcane Smithing perk.
6. Weightless like the normal version.
7. Same damage as the Mystic Binding version of the normal spell.

(Edit) Friend of mine suggested to make them quest items too, since then you couldn't lose them.

Not interesting to me.

I already made an Unbound Sword and Unbound Bow for myself. Permanent, high damage, sword can be dual-wielded (as there's 2 of them), and they swing faster since they're weightless. Bow draws faster than Zephyr even with the Quick Draw perk. Perks just make them better.

Can't upgrade or enchant them, but meh, I can always add Elemental Damage to them in the mod, along with Extra Damage For (insert enemy type - animals, vampires, dragons, etc).

Thought about making a full set - Warhammer, Battleaxe, War Axe, Mace, Great Sword. May still do that, as the sword in 1st Person blocks too much of my view. Maybe the War Axe would be better. Or Mace.

I remember in Morrowind, you could put a constant effect, bound weapon/shield/armor on a piece of jewelry or summat. Of course, with no smithing skill, and fortify attack improving your chance to hit instead of damage, bound weapons--which were on par with Daedric-- were more useful.

I miss Bound Armor from Oblivion, too. Run about as a Mage in robes so your spells have max power, then lay out a full Bound Daedric set when you needed it, and still no penalty.
