Missing black book
Hey guys. I play this game on PS4. I've had the minor quest to find the black book on Tel-Mithryn for months. I even looked up where it's supposed to be. There is simply no black book in this tower. Is there a fix or am I screwed?

Is there console commands on ps4? Have you tried using that spell that gives a glowing path towards the objective? Youtube? Wiki? Good luck.

No console commands for us AFAIK. The fandom page for this quest said that the book had a tendency to fall off the staff enchanter, but for me I simply can't find it anywhere. Not even behind the enchanters

Were you able to get into the room with the book? Is it possible one of the NPCs picked up the book (I know they are not supposed to but...)?

I know you are on the PS4 but any mods or CC(creation club)?

Edit: Not sure how long it takes a cell to respawn but save your game in a different interior cell and do the rest for 24 hours thing for a few months and then go back to the tower and check if it reset to its position (Try it in increments, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months).

You get access to the various bits of Tel Mithryn by completing side quests for Neloth and his apprentice. I seem to recall a Black Book being there, but keep asking both of them if there is anything you can help with, and eventually you will unlock access to the bit with the book.

It's not on top of the tower, on the bottom behind the wooden spiral stairs.

Just keep doing miscellaneous quests for Neloth and his apprentice, you'll unlock the area with the book.

the only black book I got from the wizard was in the ruin he takes you to and do the quest together. I never got a black book from his tower.

Make sure you havent picked it up already. In one save i had a Q marker to get the black book i already had. And it never went away.
