Ars Metallica Mod crafting feathers in vendors chest but not being sold

Hey everyone, so I'm trying to use the Legendary Crossbow with Ars Metallica patch, and I go to make crossbow bolts but no vendor seems to be selling crafting feathers anywhere. I check in Whiterun, Falkreathe, Riverwood, nothing. So I go to see if they show up in the Riverwood blacksmiths vender chest and there they are, 30 of them. So is there any reason for why they show up in the chests yet they can't be bought, and is there a way I can fix it? Thanks!

I downloaded a no feathers patch for Ars which simply removes the feathers as a requirement. I'd link it but I'm on mobile. It should come up in a google search. I had a similar issue and it lead me to realize I just found the feathers to be an idea I didn't agree with.

The problem here is there are other mods that require crafting feathers like Legendary Crossbows. I am aware of the patch but there are still issues in using it.

Clicked on your link and nexus said mod not found. Must have been deleted since last year.

If you have the mod they come from, you can probably google the item id, then add them using player.additem console command.

Found a better way now. Go around all the towns killing and looting as many chickens as you can find. They provide all the crafting feathers I'll ever need.

The ID depends on your mod list, so replace the '1a' with what the plugin gets in your load order.

Oh another way is on pc if you drop a crafting feather you can hit your ~ (tilde?) key. And click on the crafting feathers. The Base ID should be the one for your game.

Did you make sure to check the Fletchers? The Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun and the Solitude Fletcher are your best bet to find feathers.
