Physics mods in Skyrim SE (Hair & Cloaks)
So I remember that in oldrim, if you wanted physics on anything, quivers, hair, clothing, there was HDT and only HDT.
It doesn't seem all that easy for SSE from what I can tell. HDT still seems to be around, but different from the original? I see much less armor or hair with physics enabled than I did in Oldrim. I'm not big into body physics because I play in first person most of the time, but for screenshots etc, flying cloaks and hair would look pretty cool.

So my main question is, how far can I go with "physics" mods in SSE? Are there still physics enabled hairstyles? Are there cloaks that don't feel frozen solid?

Open for any mod suggestions, gonna start another playtrough again.

The HDT physics for Special Edition require going to Hydrogen's posts on a chinese web forum for the physics, framework, and high heels and I'm not sure if it's ok to post the links to there here so look up " Skyrim Special Edition HDT 1.5.8 " on google and the first reddit post has the links to all 3

As for armor there is some hdt hair and a decent selection of HDT armor on Nexus Mods like Witcher 3 bear armor aswell as from other places like Team TAL with HDT Bloodborne, Dark Souls, and Bless armor

I'd suggest going to : https://skyrimdatabase.blogspot.com to find HDT armor on places other than Nexus for Special Edition

So basically with Skyrim SE there is HDT SMP for body/cloak/hair physics that used a different method than havok on Oldrim from what I understand. SMP is also on Oldrim I believe and I is supposedly better than the original HDT.

Problem with HDT SMP for Skyrim SE is it's only being hosted on a Chinese site rather than the Nexus. This is why there is little support for it by modders.

If you want to avoid the Chinese website you can get the latest version from this Reddit page.

There is only one hair physics pack, but it quite good. Do note that HDT hair can only be applied to wigs, so you have to equip the hairs like helmets.

For cloaks there is this patch that will apply HDT to various cloak mods.

For armors that have HDT parts built into them check out THBossgamer on YouTube. He has videos of his conversions of armors for SSE with links

Hi, I have problems with the correct installation of the Physics mod, can anyone help me?
I downloaded the mod Hair with physics SSE, then Framework for 1.5.73 and Physics for 1.5.73 and installed everything with Vortex. However when I start the game and wear my hair, it doesn't move, or worse it is stretched deformed!
How is the correct installation? Thanks a lot!

Did you install SKSE64?
You'll also need the XP32 skeleton for physics to work on other things.

You have to install SKSE64 manually by the way.

Ok, the hair moves. I will try the cloaks.

Sweet.

Now if you want some real hair physics I found a SMP hairpack that is absolute gold buried in Dint999's Discord. It blows the hair from Yundao pack out of the water.

You will need to do a bit of digging but it is totally worth it.

First go to Dint999's Patreon page, then you'll need to find the link to his Discord.

https://www.patreon.com/dint999

The Discord link is under the BDO clothes pack.

After joining his Discord go into Dint999's Pantry, look on the left and select the #free mods tab.

On this tab scroll down till you see his hair pack for SSE, it is currently the second to last post.

You will see two file links:

The Main version and Patch 1.01

Download both then manually both add to your mod manager.

Install The Main Version file first, then Patch 1.01

Profit.
