Any way to make map larger?
As in more things to do, and being able to go beyond the sandlot the game comes with? The cities and fortresses are so small.

honestly the map is already huge as is i don't think there is a way to make it larger without the DLC giving you a new area to explore or Mod dungeons adding new dungeons to the game.

Try the new Lands section on nexus. Tons of new content there. Not in the same open world space for engine limations, I'd imagine, but many projects that add... well, new lands.

Honestly? Are you implying that I'm lying? Honestly, my opinion is that the map is NOT LARGE, and I think that thousands of people agree with me (see the above links posted by GIJoe). It's best to assume that everyone is being honest when posting their opinions, and find some other prop for your's.

Seriously i own the game and the map is freaking huge and why the hell are you attacking me i didn't attack you at all so please back off with your attacks when i was not attacking you at all and honestly the game has plenty to do are you even doing all side quests. Honestly i don't see why people think the map is to small.

Gee Whiz info; According to this fella, Skyrim is 37km³.
https://youtu.be/80vctFJqoG8?t=29

Some suggest this;
"This can be calculated accurately. Skyrim, Oblivion, and the Fallout games use the same exterior cell size, which is a square 192 feet on a side. Skyrim's game world is a rectangle composed of 119 cells across by 94 cells high, so roughly 4.32 miles across by 3.42 miles high, or a total of 14.8 square miles."

I once read on Bethesda forums Skyrim was 16x16 (cannot remember is km or miles),

I know my character can walk from Falkreath to Riften in one in game day *default speed of 20). Seems a small world when you can traverse it in one day.

For clarity: I do not mean small as in not much to do as some suggest above. I mean physically small. If you take out the height and the back and forth roads, travel in a straight line, it is a small game world. Height (mountains) and depth (dungeons) are used to make the world appear "larger" than it is. You are meant to travel around mountains, hence meandering roads. A prime example is the path to the High Hrothgar. If that was a straight path it would only take 1 minute.

Never thought of it that way but to me its always been huge to me because i don't fast travel and i try not to pass up the side quests and all that.
GIJoe597 Nov 6, 2019 @ 4:25pm
I do not fast travel either. But I do tend to walk in as straight a line as possible, just to get off the "beaten path". When one is level 1-5 walking through grass in the tundra, those oh crap, close up sabre cat faces are pucker inducing.

Don't try that passive aggressive junk with me. You implied that I was being dishonest, and that IS an attack. I have the game, too, I played it numerous times. You're no more honest than anyone else thinking the game needs improvements.

Thank you for taking the time to prove my point. I mean it :) This game world is small, anyone wanting to argue otherwise is silly.

i am not trying to argue the point to me the map is huge and i never implied you where being dishonest so don't claim i was. and he proved that it is dependent on a player if the Map is Huge Which to me its pretty dang Big. Not to mention your comment about there being lack of stuff to do is not true because personally i have huge hours on said game and still havent done everything. if you actually do every single side quest and all this there is plenty to do. And i took your comment as a attack when i never once attacked you so i am not implying anything you attacked me first. by accusing me of calling you a lier when i never once did or even imply it. To me The Map Is Big enough and needs nothing added to it.

Download mods. I can't even comprehend why this would need to be a thread...

"guys is there any way to make map larger? As in more things to do"

Skyrim nexus. Steam workshop. One google search on the topic beforehand. This thread wasn't even necessary lol.
GIJoe597 Nov 6, 2019 @ 6:20pm
Clarification: There is no Steam Workshop for Skyrim SE.
Clarification:
Thats besides the point. Anyone who has heard of skyrim in the past what 8 years now, would know it has one of the largest modding communities. This was a dumb question. We literally have grandmothers playing this game that don't have problems figuring this out.
My advice use that creation club thingy majig, super nifty. Got some super cool "creations" on it you'll love em pal.
