Cicero if you never played him. Him and Serena have the most unique dialogue.

this ... I never play with followers. The only one I can tolerate is Inigo (mod)

Yeah, followers are pretty dumb when it comes to stealth. I used Janessa for a while but she constantly runs right into traps in dwermer ruins. Very irritating. I started using Serana after the Dawnguard storyline. She's much smarter.

Generally SERANA is the best Vanilla Follower.
As for "Stealth Gaming", Cicero is not anything special. Aela is good (but nothing fancy) and Jenassa... who? Never used her, boring NPC.

Serana? Really? The undisputed master of chicken reanimation. No, the title *best* goes to the DB folks: Freya and Ralis. Though, as others said, best follower for stealth builds is no follower

None, followers are useless.

Best going solo, no liabilities then, it is just you and the mission you have set yourself.

Serana is terribel after level 15. Her spells do basicly no damage and she seem to think her weapon is just there for good looks.
