Make weapons Overpowered
In the old skyrim versions you could make overpowered weapons with alchemy, it seems like they fixed this. Is there a way to make weapons overpowered again?

I did fine when I was achievement hunting, which meant I had NO mods installed (the mod that fixes this wasn't even out yet at the time). Then again, I haven't updated my game in over a year, so it MAY be possible they altered that somehow.

Enchant a set of items with as many smithing pieces. Enchant a set with as many Alchemy (If you have double enchant perk you will only need one set. Create Fortify Smithing potion (Blisterwort and Glowing Mushroom).

Drink potion while using grindstone. There are additional tricks, but I don't know them.

I think it's the unofficial patch that fixes that exploit that said I think there's also a mod that undo the changes .....

You can make OP weapons with smithing and enhanting.

Very much still possible with alchemy and enchanting. It's the restoration/fortify alchemy loop. Goofing around with it I ended up with a few uber-fortify enchanting potions and made an amulet that made potions 98000% stronger. Could have done the same thing with fortify smithing. I don't have the unofficial patch though.

I understand this right? I can use enhanting to make enhanced items that make new enhanced items stronger, then wear those improved items to make even better improved items?
Like a unlimited loop of enhanced items?

Yes. Make an Item that enhances Alchemy. Use that to make a Fortify Enchanting Potion. Use that to make another Alchemy item....repeat as many times as you want. I don't know what restoration has to do with anything.

Staying alive is always good, i guess :steammocking:

Because you use a fortify restoration potion to enhance your restoration (like fortify enchanting) effects to get them over the deteriorating returns built in to the engine.

You can still temper 10k+ weapons with 'Sallow regent'. Never used the resto loop myself, Sallow regent is most likely slower, needs more soul gems, but at the end of the day.....

Personally I disabled all 'fortify skill' disenchants. It breaks the game, makes it in an epeen showcase, but that's just me

Nah You're right I mean the game is pretty easy as is and then you use tricks that can one shot everything. Next thread bwaaaahhh I used that exploit and the game is to easy.

This topic has been coming up frequently lately. I posted this in a similar thread a couple of days ago. Note there is a cap on the enhancements in the non-exploit version. But, still, the results are weapons that will one-shot dragons and armor that is so far over the cap as to be ludicrous. The armor cap still applies - an armor rating in the thousands isn't going to immunize you from damage.

Some folks report that the restoration exploit has been patched out of the vanilla game regardless of USSEP, others say USSEP removed it, still others say they have been able to get it to work.

Not having tried it myself I can't vouch for the validity of any of those claims.

However, the vanilla crafting loop - that is not an exploit - works well and can be buffed with the Sallow Regent Black Book. The loop is a bit tedious, and more so with the Black Book, but it works.

I have a guide for the crafting loop https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1653069264here if you wish. I haven't really finished it - all of the steps are detailed but I want to, at some point, add pictures and/or videos for it. But, again, all of the steps are there.

This. It took me maybe 5 minutes to create absolutely game breaking potions/enchanments and I only had to enchant 4 pieces with "fortify alchemy" to do it, not a new set every cycle. I just did it out of curiosity to see if it still worked.

If you can get to a 98,000% fortify enchantment using in-game mechanics without using the restoration exploit I'd like to see it :P

Edit: Just to clarify, "fortify" enchantments are considered restoration effects. So, start with a basic set of "fortify alchemy" enchanted items. Make a fortify restoration potion. Drink it. Unequip then re-equip the fortify alchemy equipment, its effectiveness jumps up because of the potion. Make another fortify restoration potion, it's stronger now because now your fortify alchemy equipment is stronger. Repeat until your "fortify alchemy" equipment is where you want it. Then make whatever potions you want. Fortify enchantment is good if you want to break the game (more than it already is) because you can make a bunch of them and use them later to enchant, say, a smithing set with "fortify smithing" much stronger than normal.

For entertainment I made a "fortify alchemy" amulet that makes inasane potions. Made a poison that increases two-handed by 2000%+ and causes frenzy. Hide, hit a two-handed mob/guard/whatever withit and watch the fun.

Enchanting and Smithing makes armor and weapons OP.
