How do you change a follower's dialogue?
I downloaded a follower, but I didn't like her default voice set. She only uses vanilla dialogue, so I figured I could change it rather easily. However, if I do that then her dialogue for when you first meet her is completely silent. All she says is she thanks you for saving her, and that she'll follow you 'whether you like it or not'. I would assume that all the voice sets (that can support followers, anyway) had equivalents to her lines, but they aren't automatically implemented if I change her voice type, and I can't figure out for the life of me how to change which lines she uses. I've never made a follower mod, or done any kind of dialogue, and I rarely use the creation kit for my own mods (I prefer xedit). Keep in mind, I'm not exactly an expert modder, though I guess that would obvious from me asking such a question.

Oh, and I should note that only her intro dialogue is silent, she works fine otherwise (minus the fact that aft won't manage her unless I change her voice type for some odd reason).

Okay, I've poked around in the creation kit, but I can't find the dialogue options. I've looked up tutorials on how to make dialogue, but I can't find her dialogue files in-game, nor for any of the vanilla npcs! I don't understand. And yes, I'm looking in the right places. Every quest that comes with the follower has a completely empty 'dialogue views' section, and so does every other follower in my game, and I don't understand why.

That's not what I meant. I was trying to change the follower's voice type, just because I don't think the sound of it suits the way the character looks (at least, in my heavily-modded game). Changing it btw doesn't break the questline to acquire her, she's just completely silent when you free her. I guess I could kinda get around this by just changing her voice type AFTER that scene, but I would still like to change her intro dialogue.

And yes, I do already play with rdo installed. I'm talking about a pre-scripted dialogue scene here built with unmodified vanilla lines.

ok i am 1 year late, but i will answer anyway for those who would also like to change the voices of any NPC. just download the "lazy tools" mod found on nexus. This mod allows a whole bunch of modfications on the NPCs including the voice change.
