Character Suddenly Not Visible In Third Person

Played Skyrim SE all day yesterday....everything was working smoothly. Loaded up the game today and my character is not showing in third person. In First person, I can see her sword and shield and her doing any and all actions. I've searched the web and found a variety of conditions where people's characters are like "ghosts" with some aspects visible. This is not like that. I have no "active effects" like when you can use invisibility potions (but can still see a blurry representation of your character) This is not like that. Armour is only visible when in First Person. Not in third person. I tried being naked. I tried different armours. I tried swimming. (I can see her effect on the water, but nothing is there).

I also competed the quest for the Mage's College where you get turned invisible a LONG time ago, so it's not a result of that.

I also tried fast travel. I tried going back days of saves. No difference.

I do have mods....but I have had these mods since Level 2 (I'm at level 55) and have not changed or added or removed mods since at least Level 6. My character is simply not there, or even remotely detectable when in Third Person. Any help would be appreciated.

I had that issue too briefly, from what I could gather it was a strange interaction with water/swimming. I had to reload to before I turned invisible. Wasn't a huge strain for me as I save near obssessively (have 1782 saves in my current file), but I don't know how viable that will be for you.

I have even gone back to other characters....some as far back as when I first installed the game. Same thing.

Nobody else ever ran into this issue?

Deep, just noticed you said all characters. Does the character appear if you start a new game?

Strange thing.....I just tried that and at the character creation menu after you get to Helgen shows MALE characters no problem. But as soon as I put the "sex" slider to "female, any characters disappear - no female characters will show. Male characters show up just fine. I tried to load a preset I had saved ) I have RaceMenu and even tried to load my character's preset I saved but nothing happened.

Sounds like one of your mods has data that went missing. Check everything related models.

I tried something..... I loaded the game without SKSE (loading the game from the vanilla executable).....and my character appeared in third person as normal. So it has something to do with the Script Extender or a mod that uses it.

Yes. You think it might be the problem?

Its either that or something dependent on xpmse would be my guess.

Do you have anything that is using a cbbe preset?

I have a custom body using Bodyslide. I'm not using any of the presets body types.

UPDATE: SOLVED

Turns out this all started from me accidentally clicking on the regular Skyrim SE launcher instead of the SKSE64 launcher. This of course made Steam update my game executable. I then updated SKSE64 to the newest version, after which I uninstalled and then reinstalled RaceMenu. This got my character back in 3rd person view. BUT.....I no longer had body physics. I then uninstalled CBP Physics and reinstalled the newest version. Lovely boob and butt jiggle are back.... ;)

I have removed the standard game launcher icons for both Skyrim SE and Fallout 4 so that never happens again.
