How do I get elfx to stop being broken garbage?
Is there any way to remove flickering? I cannot stand it at all, I even had it at a minimal level and now its suddenly flicking a lot more for no reason.

On buildings, the ground, and there is also some light sources turning off at certain angles.

The mod isn't broken, the flickering is due to the Skyrim engine. It only allows for 4 shadow-casting lights at a time wherever the player is, and if you have more than 4 you get flickering (or that's what it was for Oldrim anyway).

The vanilla light sources were placed near enough perfectly to prevent light flickering, but because ELFX adds lots of its own light sources, unfortunately you can get flickering in some cases.

I think the mod author has done a great job at positioning all the light sources in the game, and I only notice flickering on rare occasions, but if you're getting lots of flickering my guess is you've added in other mods that add in even more light sources to areas that ELFX covered, and that's why your flickering problem has got worse.

No one could have explained that better than you did.

Thank you for remaining around. We all really appreciate it.

I removed elfx and replaced it with rs and ele. Now the game looks great and has no flickering, at least none yet.

I feel you. I stop using lighting mods and turn shadows off basically. Id rather have less pretty lighting with no flickers. Than pretty lighting with flickering. You won't notice lighting quality after awhile but you will always notice flickering.

Also keep in mind it's probably not a fault of ELFX, but a limitation in Skyrim's lighting engine.
