FIXED: Can't make Lydia follow me again

Edit: I punched her until she left my service and walked out of the place, and then made her follow me again once we were both outside.

I was going to try to sneak through the East Empire company so I made Lydia wait by the door, but I can't talk to her to make her follow me again. She says "You're not supposed to be in here"
I got her to wait by holding E on her and then pressing E on the ground. When I try to do the same with the door to leave she says "can't do that, sorry"
Is there any way to get her to follow me again other than going to an earlier save?

You're breaking in and she's a high moral character. She will not cooperate with you in this while you are trepassing. Do this:

Face Lydia, open the console, click her (make sure her RefID is showing), alternatively you can use "prid <RefID>" (no quotes or brackets) to select her, then close the console.

Go back on the docks by yourself, open the console and type as shown:

moveto player

Close the console. Talk to Lydia, have her wait out here on the docks. Go do your mission. When all's said and done, go back and pick her up.

Note: I do not recommend using the console in 98% of situations. Most of the time such problems should be approached by loading from an earlier save. However, in this instance if you follow the instructions, you'll be fine.
