[FIXED] Skyrim Mod: Better Vampire Script could not be detected

i have this one problem when using the mod. my dragonborn can feed on people and corpses just fine, but the feed results didn't take effect. it says 'BV script not detected' and 'GlobalVariable = 666' or something like that, i don't remember. i surfed the internet, looked for a remedy to this issue, and did everything that are advised and i can think of, including using the 'remove better vampire.bat' file, putting the mod's esp file's over at the near-top list together with 'Sacrosanct.esp' and the 'Better Vampire/Sacrosanct patch.esp', just below FNIS.esp, overwriting all the script files from the mod folder into skyrim folder.

can someone help me here? i'm having blunt thoughts right now. if anyone need me to list down the mods i have right now, please tell me.

I love what Better Vampire's does but I have never made it work. I think in Skyrim LE I tracked the problem to a conflict with Clean up Your Corpses mod. Since removing CUYC would be a no go I just live without BV.

Essentially the problem is something in your mod order is Modifying or Blocking BV script. I have been told repeatedly it's not Alternate Start Live your own life.

Post your load order and maybe someone can spot something.

Essentially your are chasing your tail until you identify the conflict.

come to think of it, racemenu might have tampered with it. i'll check it out

You also have to be careful because if a mod with loose files overwrote the script file it could be the issue. But you say you ran the cleaner and reinstalled so this is low likely. I havent installed in a while. Does BV still include the scripts loose or do they install everything via BSA?

i'm using the version that i downloaded bout a year ago, so yeah it still includes loose scripts, and i've checked it myself.

P.S. what is BSA? not familiar with the term.

lots of my mods are probably outdated, but still usable, as far as i can see. takes too much time to update all of them, but if this is required, then i have no choice

ah yes. the problem is fixed. i executed the 'remove better vampires.bat', reinstalled the mod, and then sort the load order of Sacrosanct and Better Vampires above racemenu.esp. the better vampires mcm says that the mod's script now can be read and my dragonborn just fed on someone. hope no other bad issues will come out again. thanks for your help!

BSA files are Archives of all the files the mod uses. Loose files always overwrite what is in the .bsa for a mod. If you don't properly uninstall a mod it may be the problem (mod managers supposedly alivieate this concern but I don't use them so cannot speak to their inffalibility).

oh, .bsa files. i lowkey thought you meant an .exe file or something similar
