Stuck in Raven Rock with no gold to get to Skyrim

I downloaded a few mods to make Skyrim a hardcore survival game. I have Frostfall, Realistic Needs, and a few other mods. I'm also using Live Another Life, and I chose the "Attacked and left for dead" option. I got extremely unlucky with this, and was placed on an island a bit north of Raven Rock. After sneaking past some wolves, I made it to Raven Rock, but I need 250 gold to get to Windhelm. I killed a guard for his armor and weapons, and I've been sneaking around in inns and manors in search for gold. This, however, is very inefficient, and I've never gotten more than 10 gold from a chest. I'm currently sitting at about 70 gold, and I need to get 180 more. I could try and steal items, but I don't know of any fences in Raven Rock.

Have you tried an honest days work?

Mining ore or chopping wood to sell?

See if the farmer guy will pay you for picking his crops.

I don't believe there are any fences in Raven Rock. The closest I can think of is the blacksmith who does have ties to the thieves guild but if I recall he isn't an actual fence unless you invest in the fence perk and his shop, which is probably still a way's off considering your current situation. I suppose you could do some odd jobs around town that aren't too difficult, like delivering the Sujamma to people around town for the barkeep at the Retching Netch. The reward is scaled to level but should still be a decent amount for a low level, possibly enough to make in back to Skyrim. (I don't have the mods you do, but I didn't see anything that implies it changes such small quests in game, so it should still work).

There are ore veins you can mine as well and sell the ore

I also started on Solstheim with LAL. If you leave the port and head north, bearing west a tad, you will come across a miner camp with a dead miner. It has geode and gold ore. This was enough money to purchase a ticket to Windhelm. It was close, because I run economy mods which vastly reduce the gold one gets for selling and vastly increases the cost when buying.

I also run INEED, as well as others, and I was able to get free food from the urns around the port. Each one has Ash Yams in them. This held me over till I got to Windhelm and had access to wild goats/Horkers.

Do the mine quest, it should give you money. (Yes it can be done at level 1) Unless you have mods that disable it ofc.

A short distance to the Northeast from Raven Rock is a dead miner with gold ores and a couple emerald deposits. Plenty enough to purchase passage.
