Help identifying a mod I have that re-textures Alduin.
Don't ask me why I can't figure out what mod I have here. I recently found another re-texture of him on nexus I would like to have, but the problem is I already have one, and I can't identify what it is. I can't find it in my list of mods in any mod manager, in my data folder, in xedit, or even in my download history on the nexus for either version of the game. I'm completely stumped.

The re-texture I have makes him black (well, blacker anyway) and makes the membranes on his wings purple. I don't understand why I can't find the file this came from. I'm afraid to install the new mod because if I do and don't like it, I may not be able to recover the one I already have. Though I guess I could work around that by just backing up my skyrim folder, and then reverting back if I don't like the new mod.

Only mod i can think of would be one that effects all dragons in game, like a general dragon retexture or something. would help if you could post a screenshot.
I would be willing to do that, but I have to set steam to offline mode to open SE safely. I guess I could just back up my files in case the thing does try to force an update on me. Aside for Alduin though, I don't have any mods that re-texture dragons. Also, I have elemental dragons installed, so any universal re-texture mod I did have would probably be incompatible with that anyway.
i just looked at elemental dragons on the nexus, looks like it does effect Alduin.

"Dragons Diversified by LoginToDownload
Bellyaches New Dragon Species and Ohdaviing Replacer by Bellyache
More Dramatic Alduin Retexture by lightningo
Lava Textures by lati100"

found it near the bottom of the page.
Looking at the individual mod page for this 'alduin retexture', it looks a lot like the one in my game, except mine has purple where this one has red. Strange.

Either way, I'm backing up my skyrim folder so I can install this new mod without having to worry. Too bad it always takes so long. Funny story btw: m Skyrim folder is now so huge, windows 10 refused to put my previous back-up into the recycle bin, and instead asked me if I wanted to just delete it. Didn't even know there was a limit to how many files I could delete at once.
Decided I like the new texture, so uninstalling is moot now. Just so we know.
You can use SteaScree to "emulate" Shadowplay (or any screenshotting software) photos into uploadables screenshots. Since I launch trough SKSE, this is how I upload my screenshots. I guess you could also just use imgur or gyazo, any site for that matter.
