game work same as oldrim , rest is more or less mod usage or graphic cards that cant handle it. and if game engine only ID your pc for middle and downwards maybe its better to play oldrim.
and you sure you do have 16gb vram and that aient system pc ram, i doubt that you have 2*8gb graphic card in sli/firewire and not even mentions this, maybe that the problem you have a bottleneck in system and game crash then you have fiddle with settings and pc cant handle it.
Your best bet is disabling all your mods, deleting the game, deleting any leftover files and folders, and then reinstalling. Start up without mods, rush your way to the BnB and then enter to see if this fixed the problem. Then load in your mods a few at time and keep reentering the BnB until you crash.
Thanks for this! Nope, the log in windows does not say the program forced closed. However, games through steam, where steam doesnt crash (only the game) doesnt get the same log as a softwhere. Windows consider Steam the softwhere and games in it "addons".
Yeah I removed, and deleted, the files from the The true eyes mod. I even used the script program to search for problems in scripts. I have done all this you suggesting.
I've spent hours on removing mod after mod. It was after that, that I removed all mods, ran LOOT och CCleaner. Rebooted, then started a new game, and rushed to Riften.
Thats when I first managed to enter the Inn! And things worked. For a minute....then CRASH. I THINK its connected somehow to the quest you get outside the inn, to help the old man with paying his debt.
What I havnt done is reinstall the game. But I have started a fresh game, with no mods, and still get the crash.
I do not crash anywhere else in Skyrim. Either in old world or new mods. Nowhere. The only CTD I get is entering the bee and the barb.
I will do an uninstall and reinstall of the game. But I want to know what the ¤#"¤ problem is. I am asking more for if anyone know about this specific problem. Because it happens ONLY at the bee and the barb =).
I have allocated 16 GB vram in windows, that it takes from the SSD drive. My GPU got 3GB ram.
I am 99% sure its not any bottleneck in my system, because of how it runs skyrim otherwise. I have very high settings and lots of added graphic things. With No problems, no lag, no crashes. And when I ran a clean game, with no mods, on low settings, starting a new game and only running to the bee and the barb, I got in, only to crash after a minute or so. Then I cant enter without crashing, nor load a save I have when I saved in there.
My specs?
Windows 10
CPU: Intel I7
SSD drive
GPU: Geforce GTX 780Ti <----Old but runs games like Fallout 4 on max settings flawlessly.
16GB RAM
Motherboard: ASUS Sabretooth
I build computers. So this one is built specificly for gaming, which is why my I7 CPU works so fantastic still.
I have searched AMD for any updates or problems with the GPU. Their drivers have updated the 780Ti the past year to be able to run even VR (which I dont care about),
Do you think it could be something as simple as a problem my GPU cant handle that happens just in that Inn? Thats a possibility, but then I should crash at least somewhere else? I dont.
this is not about me and you, this is you that in the 10 post and we had to drag information out of you, this should have been in the header and you could have avoid alot of guessing.
and specialy then you build computer yourself.
anyway no matter let move on.
have you done a advance graphic card driver installation and make a clan installation then option check box is there ... ? this is pretty much standard then you have talk with Nvidia support.
not sure it make sense for any of us about the AMD then its a intel/nvidia in that spec, unless its another pc you also try to get it to working.
Motherboard: ASUS Sabretooth model nr. ?
Sorry, most of the post came when I was sleeping! I live in Euroland =).
Yes, I have done a complete fresh install of the graphic driver. I Do NOT use their "Geforce Experience", because of the drain on the system and problems that updater causes.
I have even done a system cleaning install of all GPU related areas, like drivers for USBs. Which sounds silly since what the heck do they have to do with grahpics? Windows 10 have some issue with some GPU with it...which is why I did a complete clean reinstall of everything that connects Win 10 to GPU.
Nvida support answers only that they blame the problem with Skyrim. Their support answered me with a real tech person after a while, that their GPU fully supports Skyrim SE, and that they didnt know about any standing issue with their cards that they say support Skyrim.
Motherboard: X58. Version 1. Never flashed it. You think that has something to do with it?
Thank you for answering! What else can you think of to locate the problem?
turn off steam cloud so it dont restore settings or game files then installed ( onedriver turn off also.so it dont crap up current backups ? )
reinstall game, no mod nothing added to orginal game content . take wagon to riften.
to test is this a mod issue or your computer. / lack of updates in drivers and BIOS ( i doubt that then you build computer you know this matters ) and NO OverClocking pc ofc. ( only laptop cpu booster from intel is allowed and dont count as OC or is same as a desktop OC pc.
and you can flip/flop version around to locate what mod or leftover files keep doing this if the original version actual do work. ( this should work no matter what, think of the million of gamers that has been in riften Bee and the Barb )
Thanks! I will do a complete installation, just as you describe. I know about how to really make a clean installation, just as you say!
I havnt done because I have no other problem, anywhere, and this problems is as interesting to find a reason for, as its ANNOYING.
I still want to find the error with this! =)
I do not overclock CPUs. I do not use any softwhere of any kind that messes with hardware to "increase it".
I even have a way to expensive PSU simply because I wanted to make sure power was never an issue, and these intelligent PSUs saved you from a whole alot of problems as well.
All drivers for the system are updated, and apart from network and GPU, I use windows 10 standard.
The only hardware I never updated is the Motherboard. I have not found any reason as of yet. I had no problems with any softwhere that the BIOS flash fixes. I do not like to mess with the BIOS unless I have too :p. But that is one area I can look again!
and close all other unwanted programs, what if this is a third part app that cause this. again i doubt it, but it is seen before other apps can effect other program, and is a hell to figure out.
old days knownledge safe boot mode idea from old age, not possible on new system other then start fewest apps up.
Heh, interesting that you know of the problem with what other softwhere, and plugins, can cause that has nothing to do with gaming :p.
Yes, I always make sure nothing is running when I look for errors in either the system or software.
Also, I make sure that both the firewall and antivirus are not any issue. I acctually changed back to Win 10 Firewall and Antivirus a while back, since both I had was causing issues in Civ 6 and fallout 4 for me.
All needed ports and allowed software are set for Both Steam, and Steam games.
I am one of few who dont use millions of plugins on browsers :p.
And I make sure what services and programs starts with windows and lays active, even when they are not running. Like Geforce Experience for example. It runs active even when you do not load it. It doesnt show up in device manager, but its still there, stealing resources. Stuff like that I control very heavily.
I am searching for more info regarding the Motherboard. Nothing in the 3 flashes it has, speaks of anything towards GPU. Its mostly system compability upgrades, like Sound and network hardware.
Do you think installing in safemode has any effect on Steam games itself? I only use that when the viruskiller or System updates are causing something and will not get 100% removed. Windows 10 has tools that, they claim, does the same thing with software, so you only need failsafe mode with system things?
