Vampirism bug???
While playing, I keep getting "You feel thirsty as the sun sets" and "You are weakened by the rising sun" or whatever, but I have *never* contracted Sanguinare Vampiris or Vampirism. It's not in my Active Spells, I've prayed at Shrines, I've attempted to remove it via console... So what gives? I can't keep playing with this awful red tint every ten minutes! :steamfacepalm:

Shrines and Cure pots only work at early stages, before the vampirism actually kicks in.

Sounds like you're already a vampire, check your active effects again and see if you can see any debuffs. And you shouldn't remove things via console, there are ways to remove vampirism the proper way.

You need a filled black soul gem and you need to find Falion in Morthal, he will cure you

Nope. I'm not a vampire at all. I've checked, double-checked, and triple-checked. I've even checked with Falion on Morthal, he doesn't care. I have an incurable but ineffective Vampirism, hanging about like a ghost. All it does is change my screen, I have no buffs or debuffs, and trust me, I've looked a dozen times, and prayed at the Talos and Mara altar at least twelve times now.

Phantom vampirism usually comes about thanks to Serana friendly-firing you with her spells during combat. The typical fix is to contract vampirism for real, and then cure it normally through Falion.

Sadly... I've just tried this. No luck. But that's the most likely way it occurred. unu;

You can install mod better vampires,reset your vampirism to early stage, drink cure potion and you should be no longer vampire D:

1 if have vampirism go to tavern
2 pick up rumor about falion in mortal
3 go to falion in mortal
4 buy black soul stone fill it with a grand soul
5 return to falion do the ritual at midnight
6 vampirism is removed

shrines only remove the illness befor you have vampirism
once vampire you need do falions quest where i wrote the steps above

I'll try this next. Sadly it's very annoying that I might need to rely on mods. unu;

That doesn't tell us much. At which stage does the process fail?

Essentially, I used the Redwater Fountain to contract vampirism, then cured myself using Falion's methods. It said I had been cured, and I wasn't showing any positive buffs or debuffs. Then at night, the screen tinted red, and said I felt thirsty once more - yet still I have no buffs or debuffs listed anywhere. My only assumption is that I've contracted Original Skyrim's vampirism, which the only plausible cure would be to contract Lycanthropy, which would negate Base Game vampirism. Though the only caveat to that is that, well, I'd be a werewolf, which, while not bad in my books, I'd rather just not do on this character. Oh well.

Can always complete the Companions' questline to remove it.

There any way to check effects on your character with the console? Might be a phantom lurking around you can remove with a command.

Not really. There's MFG Console for Oldrim, but I'm not aware of any SE equivalent.

I became a Werewolf... Nothing. Still get the pink flash in the morning and night. Grr.

Ugh I just started getting this, tho I haven't gotten to falion yet. He had nothing for me, but i haven't asked an inn keeper yet. I had no idea this was so in depth this is the first time i've had to deal with it. Hope it doesn't bug out. I was shooting for godhood on this playthrough.

I have the same problem - pink screen at sunrise and at sunset although I'm not a vampire anymore. Have you found solution for this problem?
