Yeah, my bad. I kinda forget UNP even exists on Skyrim SE to be honest. What I was getting at was CBP(C) wouldn't work with vanilla body.
The UNP Faq section has a convenient install order for CBP/CBPC:
Installation steps for CBP Physics/CBP Physics with collisions
1. Install SKSE64
2. Install XPMSE, tick physics extensions rig map
3. Install FNIS (run FNIS with Skeleton Arm Fix)
4. Install CBP or CBPC
5. Install UNP body with TBBP
6. Install UNP armor/clothing with TBBP
7. Run FNIS again
8. Go in game and see
I'll let this percolate overnight and start on step 4 tomorrow.
Why would you start over when it is only one mod that is the problem?
You were probably missing the required skeleton or having another mod override it.
Steps are as follows:
1. SKSE64
2. FNIS install but don't run
3. UNP
4. CBP
5. XPMSSE overwrite everything - NOTHING should overwrite XPMSSE
6. Run FNIS (skeleton patch and gender animations - 1st 2 boxes - should be checked)
7. Install clothing/armor
And you might want to consider this mod:
SINful CBP by 3aq
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/24313
Then see if it all works in game.
This is obviously purly subjective, but I have found Immersive CBP config to be by far the most realistic/best.
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/16380
The other configs like Sinful CBP are basically jello configs
Anyway, I already have XPMSSE installed. Now I'm going to install CBP (choosing that over CBPC). Should I be expecting problems, or will Vortex sort everything out?
UNP Renewal is a vanilla body replacer. As a general rule, body replacers (both male and female) are installed first - then the rest of the body skeleton mods.
FNIS, is considered a tool, and gets installed when all the other tools (Wrye Bash, LOOT, xEdit) are installed.
Those Bounce animation mods are walking animations that happen to allow bounce physics, but require a physics enabled skeleton if you wish those features. I use 360 Walk and Run, it is one of the last mods I install, and is a walking/running snimation, not a "bounce" mod. Strictly speaking, I have no clue why they are even included on UNP's description page - except that 1 - this mod is a conversion and the original uploader just converted the mod, and did not create it, and then, 2 - the uploader quit the mod and handed it off to another person to maintain, who then added all the notes and additional information - and the FAQ section.
The install order I gave is based upon best modding practices developed by most of the main experts as regards Skyrim - Ilja, cfs111, Avrie, and myself (obviously Arthmoor as well, but I've only listed those active in the Steam forums). Together, we are among the most knowlegeable people in the world as regards the game. This is not to say we are infallible, but we are less likely to be wrong than almost anyone else.
Although we say read the description page, remember, anyone can upload a mod, and just because they do, doesn't necessarily mean they know anything about actually modding the game, or even anything about the game itself (and especially when they are not even the creators of the mod in question).
For UNP Renewal, I believe there are also options for body size, nude or non-nude, appearance - all to be chosen according to your preference.
As to a mod stating it requires another mod, unless that other mod is listed as a master, or unless otherwise stated, install order is irrelevant, provided that the mod is present when the game is run.
And finally, XPMSSE provides the actual skeleton which will be used. It should be installed after these mods to ensure that nothing even accidentally overwrites it when installing. The necessity for it not to be overwritten is aldo one of the reasons for it being recommended to be placed very low in the load order - to ensure another mod does not overwrite it.
Installing the body and skeleton is actually fairly simple, and takes less time to do than it took to write this post, lol!
LOL!
If I remember correctly (can't remember on which mod I read it), if I select either the main (?) or slim body sizes, then I shouldn't have any problem as these types are compatible with other mods that use unp. I'll the give the description another go before I actually install it.
I spent hours last night trying to decipher the Bijin AIO 2019 - Serana Valerica - AI Overhaul mod. Do you know anything about that one? If you do, then I'll post what I think I've figured out on how to install it.
The Bijin AIO 2019 is a merge esp file with some small additions. The esp file is basically the information packet telling the game what NPCs to change and pointing to new meshes and textures.
The Bijin AIO doesn't contain the meshes and textures needed for the mod to work. You still need the original mods.
So just install
Bijin Wives
Bijin NPCs
Bijin Warmaidens
The Serana and Valerica overhaul
Then delete each esp that came with those mods.
Install Bijin AIO 2019
Profit.
You may also need patches for Bijin series if using mods that edit NPCs like Cutting Room Floor for example.
