Time to build a wall around Skyrim. Keep those filthy elves and imperials out of the country!

Seriously though... I have never chosen the side of Stormcloaks. I chose empire first time and then second time I was playing an imperial race so it felt like I just can't choose stormcloaks. I have player several times with other races too and just can't bring myself to choosing stormcloaks. Now I am playing this special edition for the first time, chose Nord so I could become stormcloak for the first time but I just feel like he empire is the right choice! I just wish to experience the stormcloak quest line once but it seems I just can't do it :/

Its kinda weird cause I'm the opposite. Couldn't bring myself to side with the imperials. Might have to do with Col Tigh wanting to execute me

The falmer and Dwaves helped kill the Snow Elves as well ya know. What about every other race? They all have done other bad things as well and deserve to die ( the Argonians invading Morrowind, for example), except the Tsaesci. They seem cool enough. (this part is a joke)

What? I thought the Falmer are the snow elves.
They were snow elves. But being poisoned by the Dwemer turned them into the falmer, where they learned of the Last remaining Snow Elves sanctuary, and killed them. They go over it in the last/couple quest.

Having heard arguments from both sides I think it is better for Skyrim to be part of empire. They have practically always been united through all of history. To me real life equivalent is like Scotland leaving UK or even an european country leaving EU. There are arguments in favor for leaving and staying but I think staying is for the best.

1st time I sided with the xenophobia cause that's how Beth likes to fake you out in their games.. it wasn't until the end of the civil war that I realized what a mistake that was

It's a game, not real life. You can play a game as hitler and it could still be fun. Remember COD MW2 when you had to storm an airport first thing? IRL that would be inconceivable and devistating but it's a video game and there's nothing wrong with that. Stormcloaks are fun to play as just as the imps but playing as an imp feels too much like propraganda to me. Too much emphasis on honor of the empire when i in fact don't care about the empire. Maybe I'd care more if my head wasn't initially on a chopping block for just existing no questions asked, or perhaps I'd care more if I was introduced to their culture rather than just indoctornated into being a god-tier war hero.

Either way, Skyrim is for the ones who can conquer it. >:D

I know I'm a little late responding, but UGH. I agree SO much. After playing as the Empire everytime, I cannot even begin to think about becoming a Stormcloak. The Empire bashes them so horribly, I can't bring myself to it! :steamsad:

Except it's not apart of the Empire, it's practically being run by the Empire. Each area - for the most part - want to live their own way, but the Empire wants to force them to follow the rules set out for them. That's why the Redguards are no longer apart of the Empire; as the Empire gave up Hammerfell Territory to the High Elves which infuriated the Redguards which led to them leaving the Empire.

The Nords killed the Snow Elfs who are the rightful rulers of Skyrim.
And the Snow Elves started that war my murdering everyone in Saarthal.

What the Dwemer did to them is unforgivable and yet scholars seem to gloss over what they did to the Snow Elves due to the Dwemer having impressive technology.
The Dwemer did what they did in case the Snow Elves decided to betray they, yes it was a ♥♥♥♥♥ thing to do, but you have to see things from their perspective, this race that just massacred a Nord City has come to your front door and is asking to be let in, of course you're gonna be suspicious.

The Nords are just a bunch of racist ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who kill those that are not like them.
Not at all, but they are willing to kill anyone who stands in the way of them keeping their ancestral lands (yes, it's their lands, they've had Skyrim since the Merethic Era. That's over 4 and a half thousands years, pretty sure that makes it theirs when they've had it so long.)

The Altmer have a god complex because they believe they are decendent from a God and thus this makes them the rightful rulers of Tamriel. It's why they fear the Empire and their worshipping of Talos, a man that did become a god.
They don't fear the Empire or Talos worship, they find it unacceptable, a man cannot become a god, that is absurd, the Altmer are Original Spirits, Kin to Auri-el and the Aedra, they are trapped in the mortal plan.
Or so they believe anyway.
They are also the oldest race in Tamriel, which would give them a feeling of superiority over other races.

Both the Altmer and the Nords should be wiped out.
Nopenopenopenopenopenopenopenopenopenopenopenope, so very very wrong.

As things currently stand, they need to make alliances with other nations if they hope to survive the war with the Thalmor, making peace with the Empire rather than going to war with them would be a smart move, allowing the Dunmer into Skyrim would also be a smart move because then they have Dunmer to help fight along side them (where else are they going to go? Black Marsh? they'll be slaughtered, so unless they want to cross the entire continent, Skyrim and Cyrodill are the best spots for them to set up shop, Skyrim being for the Nords isn't an option currently or they'll be destroyed when the Thalmor invade.

The Nords should pay the Tsaesci to wipe out the Thalmor. That will show those High Elves!

Make Skyrim great again
I plan to with my new Nord Build. Yugarr Cold-Hands is his name. He's a Nord that was schooled in the old was of combat. Meaning unlike Nords of today he's not above using Magic. Mainly Frost Spells. He'll weild a Battle Axe like the Nord Hero Ysgramore enchanted with Frost and Stamina Drain. He will use the gift Akatosh has given him to rid Skyrim of not just the Dragons but the Elves and the Empire. SKYRIM BELONGS TO THE NORDS!
That's the most patriotic thing I've ever read.

That is exactly the same with EU. We have to do everything some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in different countries come up with and they don't realise not everything can apply just the same everywhere. We still have our own president and own ministers and so on. Skyrim has own holds and Jarls who can control for the most part but the last say is with the empire, like with EU.
