Is there a way to increase light sources?

I love this game, but I CAN'T play without a lighting mod, because the vanilla lighting is awful. However, when using a lighting mod, the 4 light sources problem becomes MUCH more apparent, especially in riverwood. Panning my camera makes lights flicker and dissapear.

So I was wondering, is there any way to increase light sources? I know it's something hardcoded into the engine, but modders have done some insanely complex stuff already.
