Getting the Creation kit requires you to log into Bethesda.net not through Steam.
download the NMM (Nexus Mod Manager) from the SSE site

then choose and load your mods the same as you did for LE ... It's the same game, just more stable, and a bit faster/smoother. All the rules for modding the LE still apply. SKSE64 will not be out until early March so be careful what you choose ... don't try to move over any LE mods until you know what won't work. (no BSAs, loose file textures only, old meshes "can" be a problem)

This is a great guide for someone with medium skills ... but it's for LE. Still as a reference to the basics it's really good.
