Removing the Compass

I had removed the compass in the original Skyrim via a mod, but in this one I can't find a mod that removes the compass. I tried messing with bShowCompass under interfaces in the .ini file, but the damn thing is still there. Any mods or clue how to get rid of the blasted thing.

Please do not post about how hard it is to find stuff. I don't care to turn this into an opinion piece you can keep the compass in your game, but for me I want it off and want to know how to do it as I have a blasted clarvoyance spell that is elsewise useless with the compass.

That should work since it's how I removed my compass. On multiple systems. As long as it's the SkyrimPrefs.ini file in documents (not the one in the Steam folder) and the file isn't read only, it should work. So maybe it's worth to give it another try.

That was the deal, I was changing the one in the steam folder. Man do I feel like a dumbass. ;D

Many years later and you helped me out. Thank you. I changed it to 0 in the Xbox file, not documents. Was so bummed it didn't work. Thank you so much.
