Serana bug on Awakening quest

I'm on the quest where you meet Serana at Dimhollow Crypt for the Dawnguard storyline. For some reason, Serana won't follow me when I ask her. All she says is "lets go" and just stands there and I can't continue the quest. I tried reverting to an earlier save, resetting her AI through the console, and skipping the quest altogether though console commands but it still doesn't work. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

Does fast travelling move her to you?

I think there are console commands like placeatme but I've not had to try it myself, sorry :/

you can't fast travel from inside the crypt. you have to find your way out so she can pop out lines like "This looks familiar"

Reaper: Have you got the Unofficial patch installed? I seem to recall that being something in it.

you can't fast travel from inside the crypt. you have to find your way out so she can pop out lines like "This looks familiar"

Reaper: Have you got the Unofficial patch installed? I seem to recall that being something in it.

I do have the usleep patch installed. Is there something in there that's causing the problem?

mods that alter quests or npc AI

I don't recall downloading any mods that changes quests or npc ai. Most of my mods are visual.

Have you tried just running out of the crypt yourself? You don't actually need her to follow you inside the crypt, you just need her to follow once you're outside. Try running out and seeing if she appears with you outside. If not, try fast traveling to solitude and see if she travels with you. (After you have actually left the crypt)

If that does not work, try picking different dialogue choices in the original conversation with her. Sometimes dialogue trees get stuck. If you are skipping 1 or more lines, don't. Listen to the whole thing.

Ok, so I'm updating usleep to the latest version to see if anything changes. I had a slightly older version, so maybe there is a fix in the new one. I'll get back to you if anything changes.

It has nothing to do with load order I'm pretty sure. On two playthrough I did for achievements Serana got stuck like that in various places. And I seen another players report the same problem. She can get stuck near the entrance of Volkihar castle, inside it, near the entrance of Ancestor Glade, etc. SE made her buggier than ever.

Have you tried not having the serana.esp mod active before entering the crypt?
you said you didn't have a mod that altered npc or follower ai. That one most certainly does.

Anyway, what does the bijin npc mod do. never tried it?

Yeah, the mod is disabled now. The Bijin mod just changes the appearences of certain npcs

Yeah, the mod is disabled now. The Bijin mod just changes the appearences of certain npcs and that's pretty much all it does I believe. Serana is not one of those npcs btw. I could try disabling them as well.
