RN&D
Heard some buggy things about iNeed and conflicts with some other mods.

Oh that's interesting. So one on RNiD. I always thought that iNeed is more popular

I've been using RND (2.0) for ages on the LE side, the one for SSE for ~200 hrs. I like it. I do the whole frostfall, campfire, wet&cold, and RND thing. Couldn't consider playing without it. I honestly didn't miss the widgets ... noticiing the messages is another story though. A lot less stuff on the screen with SSE so you have to get used to checking your stats. (PITA when you're freezing to death, and don't know how bad it is until you fade LOL )

iNeed is a baby compared to RN&D. RN&D has been out longer. ;)

That's seems to be right since RNiD have more complex features - like diseases.

Istn't iNeed more immersive? Or immersive = realistic?

Ask Avrie, he'd know better than i. LOL

@ JDaremo, you trying to give me work? LOL

@The Bear, They both basically serve the same function. The immersion (Yes = realism;) is which ever one you notice "least" that makes you remember to eat and sleep. RND does add disease, but Ineed makes it harder to find a healer, then it costs money... neither is perfect.

What I said in my post above is true. with LE-rnd 2.0 you have widgets on the screen so you always know at a glance if you're hungry, tired, or drunk. With frostfall there are meters that pop up when you are freezing.

Over here on the SSE darkside (until skse64) the screen is uncluttered, and you have to remember to check or you will be at a disadvantage in battle, healing, or when learning skills, but not realize it until you're allready in trouble. You get used to it though ... Frankly I think it's better.

There JD happy :)

Playing without notices on screen could be nice :)

Pains me to admit however Ineed is in the SSE version better then RND at the moment. The biggest issue for me is that RND is incompatible with most water mods.

i prefer ineed i havn't used it on SE yet so im not sure if it has bugs or not but on LE the rason i use ineed is because with RND i found myself constantly having to find patches for this and that where as most mods are already compatible with ineed and when it comes to water ineed works with most water mods where as with RND once again your gonna find yourself looking for patches for water mods and land mods and just so many patches you need for RND.

I used iNeed in the regular game, and there's nothing buggy about it. Nor did it conflict with any of my other mods.

iNeed also has an optional disease addon.

iNeed for the regular game also has screen widgets. They haven't been added with the SE version yet as they need SKSE in order to work. iNeed also has hotkeys you can assign for eating and drinking, so you don't need to go into your inventory at all. I'm not sure if those need SKSE as well.

Hi SpeedFreak, I didn't install any water mods, so I'll take that info seriously, coming from you. Thanks.

@Belanos et al, iNeed works well on both sides of the fence. I think it's more which one you choose when you start using them, it's more than any one specific feature. Both mods are going to have to evolve and patch as unforseen porting issues are discovered. I say go to the nexus (on the LE side) and look the mod pages over, that's what you're going to see when skse64 releases, and everyone that's been Hobbled by it's absence over reacts and fills our screens with all sorts of beautiful wonderful crap we'll need to turn off LOL

I never said RND was better, just that I like it. There were a lot of patches on the LE side, but that's just modding ... never stopped me. When RND2.0 was pulled from the nexus I was glad I had backup copies archived. You just get comfy with a mod like that. iNeed was being actively supported, RND was missing in action, except for the original version (Still very good but no widgets) A lot of people switched over, I didn't. I'm happy to see both on this side and being worked on. We'd really miss them if they were gone.
