Who should I marry?
I had over 300 hours on skyrim on xbox 360, switched to PC, and now I've started the special edition and I'm having a blast. I got some cool house mods, the multiple adoptions mod, and now I want to settle down so my kids have some adult supervision when I'm gone.

I want to marry an unique character. My first choice was Cicero but no matter which console commands I use (raise friendship level, add to the marriage faction, etc) he doesn't want to. I don't care about gender or race or anything, I just want to marry a really unique character, preferably with lots of dialouge to make my home a bit more interesting.

Any suggestions?

Well, you out of luck then. Because in vanilla game all characters are plain and boring. The most talkative wife is probably Mjol. She literally never shuts up. And it may become very annoying.

For male spouse I don't even no. Ahtar would be fun, but he's not marriageable. Real shame, but in Skyrim there are no redguard males to marry. What a racist scumbags.

Did you want a really unique spouse, with a lot of dialogue? Here you go then. Truly unique follower, who NEVER shuts up - not as a follower, or as a wife. :p

If you wanted vanilla spouse, then Жора is quite correct. They are mostly using same dialogues, all the time. I usually marry Sylgja and use Relationship Dialogue Overhaul.

True. I was wondering about marrying Deerkethus, just because he's the only argonian you can marry without console commands and that is kinda cool.
I'm also open for suggestions on mods with cool followers that can be married. That would be super cool.

Really, the exception being falling head over heels for Ysolda the very first time I played, marriage is just a mechanic :( It just populates your house. It would be super cool to have a spouse that acted like a spouse.

Then your best bet is to follow Ilja's advice. Sofia is really unique follower. I didn't try yet to marry her, because it isn't that simple. But from what I gathered she has an unique marriage. Not just a simple Mara Amulet etc.

Also, there was this one mod:
Marriage Dynamic Outfits - Spouse Redress and Hugging features

I really liked to play with. But it is for old Skyrim only. Can't wait for it to be updated to work in SE.

For those who want more out of vanilla characters:

Relationship Dialogue Overhaul - RDO SE by cloudedtruth

Mod does not change any mechanics. It does remove repetition from NPCs, including spouses. Housecarls, like Lydia, also act more like spouses now, if you end up marrying one of them.
