If you're new to Skyrim, or just having problems, and not sure where to begin ... Just ask. All are welcome, If you can grow pubic hair you're already an old fart to someone.

This is just a place to hang, chat, ask questions, and get abused by forum regulars. Feel free to drop by ... We might not have all the answers, but we probably already know the people that do, and we will be happy to help.

Bashing, spamming, self promoting, advertising, and trolling will simply provide us with target practice and make you look really lame. Please leave politics and religion at the door as well.

Personal attacks against forum guests based on country, race, ethnicity, and lifestyle preferences will not be tollerated in any way ... Period, and we will be enforcing the moderators rules around here ... Period

Keep it clean (mostly) While the game is listed as mature, a lot of the people aren't
Keep it civil (always) arguing a little is fine, just keep it friendly

Move over young ones ... Gramps moved back in.

AI Overhaul has been SPIDified and Skypatched, with those two additions I haven't seen any conflicts that need other patches (I do not have any town overhauls, maybe that makes a difference). They must be used together, you can't have one without the other. I do not have any town overhauls, maybe that makes a difference.
In their requirements they have listed "Anniversary Edition DLC", but I currently do not have it enabled and haven't experienced any problems (with ~180 hours on this save file).

I am a sad man.

As in, it just sits at the bit before the menu comes up? In my experience, that means you've got a mod installed that's referencing something (in my experience AI packages, idk what other things it can happen with) in another plugin, which no longer exists in the other plugin.

For example, if you've got any patches for AI Overhaul, there's a decent chance one of them is outdated and referencing a package that no longer exists. Or if AI Overhaul is older than the current USSEP and references something in THAT which no longer exists.

I just gave Heartwood Mill-Save Leifnarr a test drive. It worked as advertised and xedit didn't show any material conflicts. It's a nice little feel-good mod for do-gooders.

Another mod I missed. Grabbing. Thanks for the info.

I am using AI Overhaul (not SPIDified/Skypatched) with USSEP, Northbourne NPCs and RDO and the appropriate patches. No problems since Febr. this year when I started a new game. BTW I used older mods from a backup.

I'm just mentioning it as an option for people who don't want to deal with so many patches for NPC replacers

I just read the scroll in the garden and restored them all, I have my free room for life so I get it. Do you think it's mods? I'm pretty much running vanilla. I have OBSE64 installed with the achievement enabler but that's it. Everyone was invisible when I got there. At least you don't need to fight through invisible critters to get to the fort. I had 4 invisible rats and two wolves to fight through. I just switched to my long sword and mashed the damn button LOL

At least I know where the devs got the idea for the wind district in Whiterun

Actually Hyper it's much appreciated. That sounds like a perfect use of spid and skypatcher. I stopped using AI overhaul... I may reconsider that now.

Everyone else was invisible, except for him. Found it funny :steammocking:

Another thing is, despite using the reversal scroll, everyone in the inn (except him) is still invisible! Those outside are fine though...

I did have to kill a few invisible wolves, but my spells and sword made short work of them.

The free room is nice, but, i haven't been back there to make use of it.....

The thing about BGS Voodoo is it will sneak in there and drive you nuts, then you reboot the PC and magically it behaves again... for a while ;-)

I was going to make a comment about being light on your feet, but I didn't think she's get the reference ;-)

Good morning, today i 'm going to vote in Canada's general election.

Morning *waves* ... It is Morning right? Must be Monday. More Coffee needed

That's better, first cuppa didn't quite get the neurons firing. Lost track of time playing last night, and the painful yawning this morning tells the tale. I really have to stop doing this to myself, but in my defense Oblivion is every bit as addictive as Skyrim when you start getting into it, and I was getting into it LOL. Call this a 4 cuppa morning and I'll wear my dunce hat. It's also one of the biggest weeks in Earnings season... 5 cuppa?

Checking the hot sheets we have 49 new mods. An eclectic mixed bag with several catching the eye already. I'll wake the cat in a bit. The nectar of the divines needs a little time to work it's magic.

Good for you. It's important no matter where you live that your voice is heard.

Morning Steve, Coffee is life

Okay, before I wake the cat, a few observations about OR. For everyone saying it's fresh paint on an old barn... Play it first.

God rays, smooth shadow motion, active weather shifts... This game doesn't need an ENB, and in a lot of ways the vanilla combat and animations are superior even to SSE. It's true that it has that new game smell to the old cat as I never played it before, so sack of salt on my opinions, but frankly I'm thrilled and already thinking about a modded playthrough

Under the hood... I mentioned to hold off on updating MO2 to the new alpha yesterday, the old cat's whiskers were twitching, it wasn't ready yet. And, I was correct...

2.5.3 - Dev Build 4 was released two hours ago

Oblivion Remastered Support
If you previously installed the standalone py, you will need to reinstall your mods.

Moved directory creation to profile init to avoid issues
Resolved several core issues related to custom data directory locations
Plugin list should update properly
Plugins tab in mod info should work
Plugin highlighting fixed
Resolved save directory issues related to INI parsing

For Oblivion Remastered, files should be separated into Data, Paks, and OBSE directories depending on the mod types.

Teething pains. There were also a couple of minor fixes, Libloot got updated, and they had to disable the tutorials as the new QT 6.9 library was messing with them...

As always you have to get the alpha builds from their discord
