Cheers, but i`m only visiting for now because it getting close to that time of year when i can take Lily out.
Lily is is the result of years of tinkering with a Hayabusa Turbo that is as temperamental as the evil Goddess that is the origin of her name, but when she`s in a good mood ...
Gaming is just something i do when i can`t be with her during the winter and the worst rainy days.
When that is said, the way you approached it, is the way i am going about it too.
I have spent the last hours reading up on visual mods and found some i am considering, some i flat out discarded and a couple i really liked, but it`s early and i`m in no hurry.
The game is not going anywhere, but the last remains of winter are :]
Ah'vrie wishes you well. It is Tirdas the 18th of First Seed and a quiet predawn here on warm sands. The blessed moons have set, and it is once again time for this one to tend the inn. excuse please while the fires are stoked, and fresh water is put to the flames...
Our brew of the day is from Indonesia, and the biscuits are chocolate chunk. Checking the hot sheets we have 47 new with all the jiggles, dangles, patches and pointy sticks we've come to expect. Let's see what catches an old cat's eye over a fresh cuppa or four.
Morrigan0crow released Enhanced Solitude - Vanilla textures as a first mod. Welcome
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/145042
"This is a patch for Enhanced solitude/Enhanced Solitude improved to revert all textures to Vanilla" Interesting first mod... Why not? Have a cookie
Goldwyrm13 released a rather comprehensive patch as a first mod. Welcome
Khajiit Has Many Things - Khajiit has Tents and Khajiit has Wares Patch
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/145073
"Simple patch that merges the clutter from KHW with the tents from KHT." Thanks, This one gets a cookie as well.
Bronyphony released Moon House as a second mod, but the first slipped past the old cat.
https://next.nexusmods.com/profile/Bronyphony/mods?gameId=1704
Welcome, A house in the moon with a portal... And no pictures. Not for old cat's but thanks.
EzmeraldaTheWitch released Transmutation Magic Overhaul
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/144858
"Allows you to learn how to transmute any ore, ingot or gem. Adds a new more convenient way to transmute, and even transmutation spell crafting. All with an immersive quest to learn through experimentation. Also includes an optional second quest to learn to transmute Weapons, Armor and books, and smithing via magic."
Well, the old cat has to admit that this is NOT just another for the pile. You study the ores, then once studied you can 'design' a transmutation spell? While this one likes the added mechanics, Ah'vrie will have to think about converting amethyst to diamond?. useful for crafting if a bit cheaty. Thanks
lets see... Truthsnark is continuing to fix floating bee hives. Everyone needs a hoby
Happy Little Trees - Floating Beehive Fixes
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/145047
"Base Object Swapper file to fix floating beehives in Happy Little Trees and Happy Little Shrubs. Happy little beehives. Happy little bees." Thanks.
Finally we do have a mod of the day. Darkfox strike again.
Necessary Nirn Necessities
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/145022
"Improves the crafting menus in Nirn's Necessities by relocating craftable items to the tanning rack and adding perk requirements for certain items. Also streamlines crafting by limiting initial creation to one color variant, with the option to craft other variants from the original."
The original mod allows you to craft SMP accessories, this mod makes the menus more usable. The old cat is not sure whether to call this a patch or an upgrade. Nicely done, and cookie worthy. Thanks
And that will do for today. The fires are stoked, yada yada... We-B-Open!
We're here for you if you if you have any questions. It sounds like you know what you're looking for. Enjoy the build until the weather breaks.
Immersive Khajiit Caravan Mules - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/49058
Neither would i :]
As far as the game goes, i was honestly a bit uninspired because i have done so many different runs over the years, my latest characters was missing something, they where there without being there, if that makes sense, so i did a lot of 3-4 hours starts over the last couple of weeks before i just abandoned the build, did something else and tried another character, but nothing stuck.
Then i deleted it all, removed all of LL and just made a simple base with 164 mods.
Then i came across your visuals that sparked an interest, because as i said, i have never made a completely visual build so just reading up on the different mods sent my mind into that creative gear again, and i have a pretty good idea of what i want it to be.
I even made a rough mental sketch of what my Bosmer should be like, so cheers :]
I did like the way they handled it in Hogwartz. You'd spot a wandering merchant from your broom and land. As you walked up they'd make a quick swish of the wand and the camp/store would set itself up. That solved a lot of issues LOL
My daugher is Minecraft freak... and she knows me how mad I am with Skyrim... and she found SKYRIM MAPS for Minecraft and she's using these and she's... continuing the maps!
Hahahaha!
Not yet. I've used Intrigued before and liked it. I just checked my download history. I tested it in Nov of 2021 after it's last update. A bit over saturated for my tastes, but I did like several of his preset. I've used NVT and Re-Engaged in the past. I may go back to NVT with the Obsidian preset. That suits me more.
Honestly I like Pi-Cho. I just never got around to tweaking it to fully suit me. That will change when I start to really play no matter which ENB I use. I downloaded NVT
I'm finding starting the game from out near the left coast really interesting, and I realized that other than 'The relic hunter' start for the Museum; I'd never actually started 'a wandering game' in this region before. It really does put a new spin on adventuring, and I'm actually looking forward to it, which is both nice and unexpected.
It's easier to see it than to describe it Sooo... Slide show time.

The cave SW of Dragon's Bridge is home (Undergrowth Grotto) Exactly the kind of place a wandering prospector would stumble on after more mead than was good for him...
Once he cleared the spriggans, and buried the previous owner he takes Mara's words to heart, cuts back on the mead, and takes up adventuring... Our story begins with crafting new road gear, then making jewelry, and potions to sell in Solitude to fund the journey.

That's as much of the backstory I needed to inject. The point I was making is the side quests, the order and timing of the locations, it's totally different. Even the maps. I spoke with Lisette at the Skeever, and decided to have a look at the bards college. I allowed myself to be railroaded into joining, which fit in quite nicely with me clearing Wolfskull cave for Varnius... So we burn the effigy, and I'm asked to speak with the teachers... Well the picture tells the tale.

I promised Elisif I would place the late king's warhorn at her chosen shrine to talos after clearing Wolfskull cave, and I'd gotten the letter from Falkreath at that point, so I took a carriage to Whiterun, placed the horn, and rode to Falkreath. On the way I stumble on a burnt remains of a cart on the road. I found a charred note telling of bandits that took over a mine. That don't sit well with this character. Jarl Sidgear the twit also had dealings with bandits taking over a mine. I would have cleared it anyway, but getting paid was good. I met a few people, chopped some wood, was asked to retrieve a journal from a cave for the priest of Arkay. Well my character's ears perked up at the thought of exploring a new cave, and the timing must have been ordained because I rescued Valdir from in front of that same cave... More Sriggans. I'm sensing a pattern here. Next thing I know I'm thane, but took the carriage to Morthal... That other mine demanded a little attention before returning to Solitude.
Now as to the other items to be recovered... Agaiun the pictures tell the tale

Just a taste. I'm firming up the back story to fit the new digs if you'll pardon the pun. The only location I added was caves of Morrowind. I'm staying vanilla other than that. This should turn into a good play through. I'll limit myself to using the carriages if I don't want to ride. I'm keeping the clock vanilla this time as well. Not only does it help to keep the NPC schedules from getting wonky, it means it takes a couple of days to get to Markarth from Whiterun, not a couple of hours ;-)
As to my eventual fishing mod...
