I installed ELFX for interiors, because I can not imagine playing without ELFX Shadows. Otherwise options are still open.
I have completely fallen off this scene, so recommendations are welcome.
(Or was it the mimes are the first thing to go? Well something went, that's for sure.)
And then you're ready to play ...
I've mostly converted over to Community Shaders, works with whatever weather mod (I don't really have a favourite at the moment) and has lots of modularity.
I am staring at it, but have absolutely no idea how it is supposed to work. I guess I need some preset?
Or just enter Community shaders preset in the search box.
For my Enderal installation I was trying this out https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/99450 (Amethyst Reshade/Kreate Preset) and it was pretty nice.
Poking my head back in between jobs. The biggest take away is choose your weather mod first. A lot of the newest ENBs have multiple versions specifically tweaked for specific weather mods, and there are also very simple edits to the ENBSeries.ini to add weather awareness to older ENBs
The caveat as always is every weather mod is different, so there's no one blanket 'switch' to turn on everything for every weather. For the most part it comes down to un-checking the "ignore weather" box in each relevant section.
The good new is the new weather specific presets have done the leg work for you. The downsides is how many bloody versions of each preset you have to look through.
I'm currently using Kyn'es weather (Which is based on Obsidian, but with new weathers merged into it from Wander and a few other sources. Any ENB with a version for Obsidian will work out of the box, but a couple of the new weathers might need to be tweaked.
My last build was using Pi-Cho ENB for Obsidian. I really didn't have to make any changes to the weather settings, but there are a couple of recommended Skyrimprefs.ini settings they recommend you tweak which do make a difference. I've been very happy with the choice.
I just copy and paste the DLL drivers. Cause 3D, parallax and all that stuff. Messes everything up. So wait until your entire mod lists is finished. ENB, ELFX all mods casting shadows could mess up your 3D and parallax settings. Then copy and paste the EFFECTS part of the enbseries.ini file. And paste over the EFFECTS part the preset you picked. Or your 3D and parallax settings could revert.
To be honest, some make great ENB's and shaders and presets.
But by now, sorry to say. Rudy is running everything on a potato rig, compared to what i have.
I might get back to ENB. At least I know how to handle them and their conflicts.
Tried this several times. even started quest from beggining...I even installed some fixes for Bruma mod, nothing happens. Buggy quest stayed. I gave up.
One question, mod seems to be unfinished, west and south from Underpall Cave there is only forest and occasionally bandits...and tottaly on west appear to be one big city, but when I approach it, I sunk down, like there are no textures at all.
Anybody have idea ?
