If you're new to Skyrim, or just having problems, and not sure where to begin ... Just ask. All are welcome, If you can grow pubic hair you're already an old fart to someone.

This is just a place to hang, chat, ask questions, and get abused by forum regulars. Feel free to drop by ... We might not have all the answers, but we probably already know the people that do, and we will be happy to help.

Bashing, spamming, self promoting, advertising, and trolling will simply provide us with target practice and make you look really lame. Please leave politics and religion at the door as well.

Personal attacks against forum guests based on country, race, ethnicity, and lifestyle preferences will not be tollerated in any way ... Period, and we will be enforcing the moderators rules around here ... Period

Keep it clean (mostly) While the game is listed as mature, a lot of the people aren't
Keep it civil (always) arguing a little is fine, just keep it friendly

Move over young ones ... Gramps moved back in.

Oh thank goodness, it's been delivered, now got to rest before building the thing
Congrats, Gnewna! May you have many hours relaxing in your new chair! (But, and this is important - does it have a place to store your goodies?)

Haha, not as such, but don't worry, I've got a box on the desk for snacks and other little treats!

What, no robotic articulated cookie jar arm? How pedestrian. :steammocking:

Enjoy the assembly, and the chair. Glad you didn't have to chase it down.

And this is supposed to be the future! (It all seems very logically presented and thankfully the booklet is all present and correct so I'm having a little lie down to recover from All The Panic and then we'll get to the assembly after that)

And this is supposed to be the future!

Well in some ways it is. The other day there was a news story on my News App on my phone that a make released a new toilet... a "smart" toilet, that connects to your phone and can do all manner of things to your behind. :steamfacepalm:

The future! where you don't even have to wipe your own bum............. :steambored:

I guess it would be more of an integrated bidet type thing? And bidets are apparently better in a lot of ways, there was a South Park episode about Fancy Smart Loos a few years back, funnily enough

I wish I hadn't seen an advertisement for a hand-held bidet yesterday.

Speaking of smart appliances... Anyone seen a movie called "Margaux"?

It's about a smart house, which is not only smart but also quite sadistic x.x

Yeah, I like apps for things that have to be apps (you know, Uber, discord, online banking) but I don't want anything that isn't my phone to be controlled by one, really. I've seen app controlled air fryers and like okay but what if the WiFi falls over?

or worse, what if the fryer gets taken over and gets set to keep frying at high heat and causes a fire or something

Smart home devices are wild, I have around 30 switches , plugs, lights etc. It is 9am, and my adblocker has already blockers 9,360 queries TODAY, probably about 70% of which is the smart home devices trying to talk to something outside. The rest is alexa trying to send ad recomendations to amazon. I block all of it with a simple application called pi-hole. It is insane how much data they are trying to send though.

Finished that Firewatch game Melissa suggested, good stuff to unwind with.

Callwolf just finished that game last night. He said it was short, about 3.5 hours. He also said it wasn't as light-hearted as it showed in the trailer. But he also said it was definitely worth the $2 I spent.

I bought a copy for myself as well. I'm going to give it a go here soon and see how I like it.

In a way it's a bit eerie. Soon they will be running our homes completely :DSTskull:

Beatles wrote about it long ago, with their song the Taxman - just change it from taxman and money to google/amazon/facebook and data.
