Hi Gnewna
Ah'vrie wishes you well. It is Middas the 27th of Evening Star. The blessed moons are past full and beginning to wane once again, but keep those silver weapons close for another day at least. Excuse please while the fires are stoked, and fresh water is put to the boil.
Our brew of the day is from Honduras, and the biscuits are Apricot thumbprint. Checking the hot sheets we have 42 new, but very little catches the eye as the year races to it's end...
HugLefuer released Assassins don't wear uniform
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/107806
"Assassins clothes less remarquable for roleplay"
It's basically a confused cheat... They don't want the DB uniforms to be disenchantable (which is a common cheat) so they created 'instructions' that destroy the armors and allow you to craft new ones instead
inago777 released My Haafingar People No esp
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/107789
"It changes the appearance of the less noticed "Haafingar" people." We like choices, thanks. Only it changes principle NPCs as well not just 'unnoticed' ones.
Lets see... ICFur released Queen Bee Statue - Improved Vanilla Texture and Mesh
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/107830
"An AI up-scaled and retouched texture for the Queen Bee Statue. Changes also made to the vanilla mesh to improve appearance of of metal." A noticible improvement, thanks.
And finally Chest Variants - Base Object Swapper by Pieter82
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/107813
"Adds various diverse Chest meshes using Base Object Swapper" And why not? The only thing this one noticed is a snowy chest was swapped with a standard variant on the steps to high Hrothgar... Might need a little more 'intelligent' tweaking.
And that's about it. lots of patches and jiggle but not a lot of substance today, and one or two that did catch the eye were specific to a mod list so left out. The fires are stoked, the kettles scrubbed, and the floors are... Ah'vrie will mop later. We-B-Open!
i think that's an Oblivion thing...
I can't remember much about that though, the last character i made was a Dark Elf, and she was so blue that i think she came out of the smurfs...
I *think* it's that the head textures for some bizarre reason are the same for M/F characters which is fine when you've got vanilla bodies or if I could find matching M/F bodies (using Robert's Males, there *is* a Robert's Females but it's a bit rubbish and has no options for different proportions, so I'd rather use HGEC) or at least textures that are designed to both work with HGEC and Robert's Males *and* to have the head and body skin tones match. Also the options for skin textures in general are pretty crap and often don't even include a head texture.
That said, I've installed the only HGEC texture I could find that covers face AND body and the mismatch is much less stark, but there's still an extremely obvious neck seam which is very visible in third person which I tend to wander around in. It's probably not a huge deal as this character is inclined to wear high necked things/armour anyway, so if I can find her a set of mage robes she'll be golden, I did install a scarf mod (basically the same one you can get for Skyrim) but the scarf is comically large and not really suited to most of the weather in Cyrodiil...

Makes a change from tedious airbrushed anime bosoms-on-legs, at least.

to hide the seam.
Trouble is it wasn't just a visible seam, it was a VERY noticeable colour mismatch between head and body, plus the necklaces I've found are all very... Well, modern for 2006 and also very girlie which my character very much isn't. I've got a plugin for one for Vilja, though, although tbh her current outfits and my character's armour go right up to the neck anyway (I've dealt with the mismatch but there's still a visible seam)
