Actually, one of my favorites was Cool Water - though there were a couple of others, as well - Dolce & Gabbana, and Lagerfeld (which was my favorite).

Yep, that's the species that has invested Southern California this year. News articles I've read say it's especially bad because of all the rain we had (Hurricane Hilary, etc.) Nasty little buggers.

I hardly ever get bit by mosquitoes. been that way all my life but if I do it's usually the feet or ankles. I did get bit in The Philippines once and it made my entire back itch like crazy for a couple of hours.

You are sooo lucky! They always bite me -- multiple times. It's not unusual for me to have three or four bites right near each other. And, for me, the bad itching usually lasts three or four days. While they no longer itch, I still have red lumps from last week's mosquito feeding.

I watched a science vid that said people carry genetic markers that make them more or less attractive to mosquitoes.

Why oh why couldn't I get the gene that makes me more attractive to the opposite sex, instead?

My ex-wife was from the Philippines and I seriously the little buggers spread the word and they use to come for miles to get a taste. They used to eat her alive. We did find that the repellent with DEET in it did the trick. Thing is you don't have to spray it on your skin just what your wearing. Apparently it creates a smell/fog/something that messes with the skeeters. Hope that helps.

Came back from work yesterday to find my Aunt's Laptop wasn't working, turns out it was the bug were Windows downloads a load of incorrect Internet drivers..... thanks Microsoft....

I have been a bit MIA lately and will continue to do so for a while.
Nothing more than few very busy weeks.

I am playing some BG3 (and ranting about it Discord), but mostly just getting buried under work and books.

So, nothing unusual there. I was busy at the same time last year, though now I am also searching for a new apartment at the top of it. Renovation is closing fast and I need to get out of it's way within few weeks.

that ascii art is cool, and cinnamon cakes are nice, but careful with saffron - i once bought a packet of cashews which were all coated in an orangy layer of saffron, and they were more bitter than anti-nail biting liquid :)

What kind of mix was that? That doesn't sound very delish at all :p In my country, it is tradition to bake saffron buns before and during the holidays :> I also use it in a few cooking recipes but yeah, it is not a spice you should use too much of. But it is also quite expensive so it's not like you usually buy too much of it. At least not me ^.^

That orangey layer and bitter taste sounds more like they were coated in turmeric (which has a slightly bitter taste) - a spice that is often used by more unscrupulous chefs/establishments to color food so that it looks like saffron was used, as it is far less expensive, being relatively common (though it is legitimately used as a spice in a number of dishes - especially in Indian cuisine).

Ah'vrie wishes you well. It is Sundas the 1st of Frostfall and a gorgeous predawn here on warm sands. The blessed moons have set, and begun to wane, so we 'should' be safe from the goddess' crazy puppies for another month. But be on your guard for another night or two just in case. Anyway, it is time once again for Ah'vrie to tend the inn for our most honored guests. Excuse please while the fires are stoked, and fresh water is out to the boil...

Our brew of the day is whatever the old cat grabbed with closed eyes... Mmm, subtle floral and woods notes. Tastes South African so it's probably LeCap. And the biscuits are toll house, but that cinnamon coffee cake is calling to this old cat. Checking the hot sheets we have 40 new with all the usual suspects. Let's see what catches the eye over a fresh cuppa.

The sharpening and dynamic range is fairly subtle, and overall has a balanced look. This one is worth a look if you're using community shaders. Have a cookie

Oh that sounds really good, with the spiced plum chutney! You know, crustaceans are actually something I have started to add more and more lately in my asian inspired dishes. Not just shrimp, but also lobster and crab :D I like to experiment a lot in the kitchen and I have yet to come up with something I couldn't bare to eat :p

Nice screenie by the way, although a bit eerie to think it might have been Nirn once upon a time o.o But all things do come to an end, right.

Wow. That world looks like a mix of Glacio (from Astroneer) and your typical Skyrim mountainscape
