This is just a place to hang, chat, ask questions, and get abused by forum regulars. Feel free to drop by ... We might not have all the answers, but we probably already know the people that do, and we will be happy to help.

Bashing, spamming, self promoting, advertising, and trolling will simply provide us with target practice and make you look really lame. Please leave politics and religion at the door as well.

Personal attacks against forum guests based on country, race, ethnicity, and lifestyle preferences will not be tollerated in any way ... Period, and we will be enforcing the moderators rules around here ... Period

Keep it clean (mostly) While the game is listed as mature, a lot of the people aren't
Keep it civil (always) arguing a little is fine, just keep it friendly

Thanks Avrie, I'll give 3D Trees a go. I have Indistinguishable Billboards and Enhanced Vanilla Trees as well as Forests of Dibella installed atm now. EVT is lowest in the load order so it wins almost all of the conflicts. My game looks a bit better now but I'm still missing that (wait for it...) magic immersion factor that photorealism brings.

I may try DynDOLOD vs. the xEdit lodgen I've been using, and futz about some with the settings. That's sure to break something loose -- or just break something.

[edit] Progress... not exactly what I want, but better.

Well, I spoke (or posted) too soon. Was laid up all day with aches and pains and headaches and STILL have a fever. Just about to see if I can get something into me - really had no appetite at all, and really still don't. Some Firebrand Wine or Colovian Brandy would be good

Sounds like the Flu. Take two Aspirins and call me in the morning. You really should rest and drink plenty of fluids (Orange Juice or something). Bundle up and sweat it out of you!

Sorry to hear that smr. I would suggest not eating for a bit. There is an old saying - feed a cold, starve a fever - and in my experience, putting food into a feverish body only raises your temperature and makes you feel a lot worse.

Whatever you do, I hope you recover swiftly :)

I too am sorry to hear about your wife roger. I wish I was better at coming up with something comforting to say about such things. On the topic of Lydia as a wife, which I should probably just drop, I haven't actually tried it myself so I have this question, do you get the Lover's Comfort buff with Lydia no matter what bed you sleep in as long as you bring her with you to that bed, or do you just get the buff when you sleep in your home bed? if you don't get the buff from other beds maybe that would be an interesting thing for someone to mod into the game, it would sure increase my opinion of marrying Lydia.

Thanks Scathe, nothing else to say except sorry and thank you for saying that. I get lover's comfort even if I stay at an inn as long as Lydia accompanies me. I haven't left her at home yet so I don't think it works if she is not there, but I'm not sure.

Unfortunately it is Morndas yet again, the wage slaves lament, but Avrie wishes you well none the less. The blessed moons have set, the paths are closed, and it is again time for Avire to prepare the inn for his honored guests. Brew of the day is classic Italian espresso roast ... Avrie always needs that little extra kick from the Robusto blends on a Morndas.

Today is President's day in the US, so at least some people have an extended weekend. I'm sure Mr. Trump is sure the day is all about him and has planned something extravagant and pointless to celebrate "his" day LOL. He's been like that for as long as I've known him ... this should be expected behavior by now

I still like the man, divines help me.

Lets get a look at the hot sheets ... 28 new, and lots of crap to ignore unfortunately

XanderVirtus replaced the butt-ugly vanilla dogs with DG huskies. Avrie would like to see a "real" modder get rid of the vanilla dogs, but replace them with Norwegian Elk hounds, and Alaskan Malamute models with the improved AI from Dogmeat in FO4.

Vladimir_Marduk stuck a shawl on Solitude and Windhelm vanilla guard uniforms and called it immersive ... didn't even include the first person models. Lives up to the "I" word ... flushed

TheFriedturkey released a vanilla "human/mer" skin texture mod, with CBBE files but only in never nude, and messed up the coloring of the Dunmers. Meh ... a shame, the hands look really good

A simple mod that relocks the TG lockpicking practice chests after a few seconds so you can keep practicing. Avrie likes this idea ... you still have to grind and get better, it just makes it easier to find locks to practice on. 1 cookie

Avrie is having a good time in Enderal, but has no idea how the new mechanics work yet. At least I made it to the beach :) but I think this morning I will get back to my testing for the guide, and save new explorations in Enderal for this afternoon. (Maybe, it's not easy walking away from a new world LOL)

The fires are stoked, the kettles scrubbed, and the floors are swept ... We-B-Open!

To prevent the discussions like in this thread ( https://steamcommunity.com/app/489830/discussions/0/3247562523078646717/?tscn=1550469321#c3247562523078745586 ) in the future I would recommend that people read first the guide and not trusting the OPs blindly. Because in this case the author of the guide did not recommended against LOOT in any way like stated of the OP, even better he showed pro and contra of LOOT. OP interpreted it wrong because he is a modding beginner.
