I thought i still had variations setup on the cows even switching to Milhail's models
Sleep deprivation iks setting in. Time to call it a night and catch some early ZZZs G'night
Since the conversation with my mate, I've managed to only react verbally to the door slamming and let my rational side do most of the talking. Right now, as I'm writing this text, he was slamming the door too, but at least it was less loud. I still don't know why he slams the doors. All I know is that it's been happening more frequently since November last year when I complained to the landlord about disturbing the peace.
As I no longer feel comfortable in my flat, I made the decision to move out a long time ago. After a long period of peace and quiet, I cancelled the plan. However, in the last few months, the noise pollution has increased so much (he's working on a major DIY project) that I'm considering moving again. I have recently made some progress in my preparations for the move.
Now let's move on to another topic. The day before yesterday, I was out for a walk in the early hours of the morning and found a PlayStation 3 in an abandoned shopping trolley by a rubbish bin. It actually works. Only the disc drive is defective. At first it wouldn't pull in any discs. The cause was 4 discs and two coins that someone had stuffed into it. After getting the things out, the drive was able to pull discs back in, but unfortunately not read them. I think the laser is broken or too dusty. As it's the slim version of the PS3, I can only get to the laser by taking everything apart. I've tried and can only get the case partially open and I've unscrewed all the screws (even the ones covered by a plastic piece). As I don't want to break anything, I don't want to tinker any further. Resetting the PS3 to the default settings didn't help either. At least there is the option of buying games digitally via the PlayStation Store.
I haven't downloaded a game yet. To get a feel for the controller, I will try a demo soon (the last time I had a controller in my hand was many years ago). Incidentally, the PS3 is my first non-handheld console (I still own a Game Boy Pocket).

Hi Selene, I think moving is probably the correct path as well. It sounds like the relationship with your neighbors is becoming adversarial, and that's never good. Just make sure if you're moving into another apartment block, you only look at top floor units. I fear no matter where you go, if there is someone living above you, the situation will be different, but still ultimately affect your ability to sleep. The thing about the spectrum is that problems like this can take on a life of their own, and subconscious ruminations you have no control over magnify the situation. Moving is probably the wise choice, for you, and for your neighbors. Definitely eliminate the person living above you though. I hope you find someplace nice, and it brings you peace.
Hi Steve... It had to happen, we have a mod of the year candidate and it's from Mihail
Everyone Poops- Mihail's Shards of Immersion
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/145234
You know all those empty latrine buckets in all the ruins, towers, forts, caves... etc. Now they aren't empty. Unfortunately it's a fairly lame 'dog poop' model. I'm sure someone will come out with an 8K variations version at some point. I wonder if Xtudo will 'optimize' this one?
Then this mod of the year
Good luck with your issue Selene, one should be happy while at home and not stressed from the neighbors so moving might be for the best. Something better constructed because you should not be hearing doors that loud from other units.
Ah! Another masterwork - well, some sort of work!
Especially seeing how they look now - "Oh look! Someone left a sweetroll here!"
@Steve... I still crack up when I find those buckets with a potion of minor healing next to them in most of the mines and towers. The thought "You need more fiber in your diet" comes to mind LOL
Edit... Nexus chose now to have issues
Ah'vrie wishes you well. It is Turdas the 20th of First Seed, and a quiet predawn here on warm sands. The blessed moons have set and it is time once again for this one to tend the inn for our most honored guests. Excuse please while the fires are stoked, and fresh water is put to the flame...
Our brew of the day is classic Ristretto, and the biscuits are Tate's ginger zingers. Checking the hot sheets we have 43 new mods from the usual suspects. Let's see what catches the eye over a fresh cuppa or two.
Argonil released Subtle Race Overhaul
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/145183
"A race overhaul with subtle racial bonuses that enhance immersion and improve balance without being overpowered or making your choice of race build-defining; your choice should ultimately not provide a large power spike." 'Slow clap' Someone that gets it.
Not another for the pile, this is mostly vanilla, but adds the 'fine metric' of altering skill learning speed based on race. Major skills improve 5% faster, minor skills improve 3% faster. It also adds back in 'previous' resistances that were removed in Skyrim; like Orcs being resistant to magic. This one actually deserves a read, and a cookie. Nicely done.
JerryYOJ released two today. A framework, and a sample using it.
https://next.nexusmods.com/profile/JerryYOJ/mods?gameId=1704
"Dynamic Merchant Framework: Introduces an system that allows modders to dynamically control a merchant's item's selling price and their buying price... allow you to dynamically determine EACH item's price via its level (from the LeveledList that generated it), the trader himself, and the item itself." The sample mod uses a pseudo RNG to alter inventory at warmaidens. This is a modders resource, but interesting. Thanks
Wired1up released Campfire Fixes - BOS
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/145209
"Swaps out the landburning.nif for one without land attached" The old cat doesn not have this issue, so it is mod dependent and not enough information was given, but if you have this issue, here's a fix. Thanks
Black714 released Eastern Reach - Moss Friendly Trees
"https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/145232"
"If using mod tree, Hanging moss will flying. Revert all tree with Hanging Moss only. back into original tree." They released a similar mod a few days ago for Beyond Reach. Again not enough specific information to classify the fix to a mod. If you have floating moss in the reach, here's your fix. Thanks
ArchonShadow released Arcs Gem Stone Redux (Multilayer Parallax)
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/145190
"Arcs Gem Stone Redux is a remesh and 4k texture overhaul for Skyrims Common Gem Stones, no esp" Worth a look, you can actually tell the difference between flawed and flawless stones. Thanks.
Blubbo Flags and Banners for Raven Rock (What, no trees
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/145201
"A mod that adds flags and new textures for the banners of Ravenrock." The old cat has to admit, these are very original, and unique. The old cat likes the way it sets Ravenrock apart from Skyrim. Well done, and cookie worthy. tracking for now.
Zaga1986 released Serious HD Mountains
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/145212
"Retexure mountains textures 4k"
From the creator of 'SHD retexture' in oldrim, they lost access to their previous nexus account after years of inactivity. This is not their first mod, it just looks that way LOL. The mod needs better/more pictures, but really needs to be seen in game. The color pallet looks vanilla, and the surface details appear a little 'younger' (less worn) than many overhauls. This one has the old cats eye. Tracking / flagged for testing. Thanks Zaga, Welcome back to the dark side ;-)
And that brings us to a very unexpected mod of the day... and it ain't poop in a bucket
Dragon-Voiced Word Walls by Clofas
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/144947
"Adds over 50 dragon-voiced dialogue lines to each Word Wall and replaces all audio files associated with them. Requires Base Object Swapper."
Okay... Not what I expected. It replaces the default 'background music' with an ethereal voice whispering the what is written on the word walls in the dragon tongue. You have to listen to the included sample videos. The audio stands up on it's own, the fact that it's 'reading' the actual word wall is inspired. All voice acted by Clofas, no AI crap for this one.
This includes a fomod that allows you to customize the way it integrates with vanilla sound loops. Vanilla sound with spoken words, Vanilla sound with whispered words, and silent with whispered words... This is an immediate download for this old cat. we'll be testing this in a few hours. 3 cookies and a seat by the fires. This is a keeper
And that will do for today. The fires are stoked, the kettles scrubbed, and the floors are swept. Have a seat and the wenches will serve you. We-B-Open!
Nexus wasn't having issues... It went live with the new beta while I was doing the opening post. This is going to take some getting used to. It seems to handle pictures better than the original thumbnails, and no longer forces the creation of a banner image? Nice, I guess we'll find out how much better it is soon enough. It's not a beta anymore.
