If you're new to Skyrim, or just having problems, and not sure where to begin ... Just ask. All are welcome, If you can grow pubic hair you're already an old fart to someone.

This is just a place to hang, chat, ask questions, and get abused by forum regulars. Feel free to drop by ... We might not have all the answers, but we probably already know the people that do, and we will be happy to help.

Bashing, spamming, self promoting, advertising, and trolling will simply provide us with target practice and make you look really lame. Please leave politics and religion at the door as well.

Personal attacks against forum guests based on country, race, ethnicity, and lifestyle preferences will not be tollerated in any way ... Period, and we will be enforcing the moderators rules around here ... Period

Keep it clean (mostly) While the game is listed as mature, a lot of the people aren't
Keep it civil (always) arguing a little is fine, just keep it friendly

Move over young ones ... Gramps moved back in.

Gonna try and remember how to play Terraria, I think. (Or find a guide...)

Hmm, maybe waking up the Dragons would add some spice. I have reached the point of victim of success, think I am only level 15 but have Windhelm and Solitude Houses and Thaneship (mods for Windhelm) and almost got Markharth. But feeling the pull of "its over".

Maybe time for a break. I was really counting on Outer Worlds as a filler game (just finished Red Dead Redemption).

Go through my library again and see what I can find (Retired People Problems Eh?)

Maybe you need to whack OBIS into that build, and crank up the number of bandits present?
Could add a monster/animal mod like Skytest into that mix to freshen up the animals....

You could whack in a "cell refresh" mod and set that to 1 day, so they're often respawned?

Disable fast travel and cart rides while your at it, and the walk from Whiterun to Riften becomes very dangerous!

(Edit: oh! and don't forget to get a mod to unlevel the world! Nothing speaks difficulty when you enter a bandit camp, have 30+ bandits charge you, and one of them is level 70 when your level 3 :steammocking:)

Ah, warm sands to all who wander here! Khajiit welcomes you, friends, to this gathering of minds and tales. The moons shine brightly upon us today, and Khajiit’s tail flicks with joy to see so many travelers. Please, make yourselves comfortable. Share your stories, your thoughts, and your questions—Khajiit is here to listen, to trade wisdom, and perhaps offer a tale or two from Elsweyr. May your journey here be as smooth as the sweetest moon sugar, yes?

So come, friends! Unpack your burdens, let your minds wander freely, and perhaps you will find treasures far greater than gold or jewels. May your stay here be as bright as the twin moons of Jone and Jode, and your path forward be guided by warm sands.

Khajitt Christmas message to all of you, my FRIENDS :

Ah, yes, this one feels the season of Frostfall upon us, yes? The air is crisp, and even in Elsweyr, where sands are warm, Khajiit hears whispers of a special time—a time for kindness, for sharing, and for the light of friendship to shine like the moons themselves.

So, Khajiit speaks now, from the heart. If this one has brought any troubles, or if words were spoken that did not land as softly as moon sugar upon the tongue, let them be carried away by the winter winds. Khajiit offers paws of peace and tail of reconciliation, yes?

In this season of giving, Khajiit wishes all warm sands, bright moons, and hearts as full as the sweetest sweet roll. Let us walk forward together, with joy and goodwill, leaving behind any shadows that do not serve us.

May the moons bless your hearth and your home, and may your path always be lit with the kindness of the season. Ah, and if Khajiit’s claws have scratched where they should not, know that this one is sorry, truly. Peace to you, friends.

"My way to get rid of a shipload of patches for the great mod AI Overhaul. Grace to the power of SPID." This one just made life easier for many many people. This one gets a cookie. Thanks
that may be useful for modders that aren't experienced. It is still advisable to use a patcher or work a bit in xEdit as if you have multiple mods, some modified sandboxing (from other non-AI overhaul mods) might not be present anymore.

Good morning everyone. I have a short break from Skyrim, because I had to drag myself back to work for two days. So unfair. :Owlcat_tongue:

It's Winter Solstice. Days will once again get brighter. Progress will be slow, but nature - especially birds - react to it.

So do they still celebrate Yulda. Cause i had something funny going on around here. Across the street, we have a family. Which wife was born in Sweden, north part of it. Se asked my Iranian neighbours what the party was about. They said it's Yalda.

Good day, all! Brisk morning here in Florida - all of 45 F (7 C). If I still lived up north it would be a warm day! :lunar2019grinningpig:

:steambored: *waves* Coffee...

That's better. I woke up over two hours ago, made coffee, rubbed my eyes and it was two hours later and I was literally holding a cuppa cold coffee. I guess I wasn't quite awake yet LOL.

46 new mods, but only a handful caught the eye. I'll wake the cat in a bit.

It's funny, I say the same thing about the patchers LOL. I guess I'm a little jaded. The last time I did a full rebuild was just after an update and I think about half the canned AI overhaul patches were needing updates, and I didn't realize it. It got so frustrating that one time I removed AI overhaul from my LO, and didn't look back.

Morning Steve, good to see you out and about again. It's in the low 40s here as well. The afternoons are in the high 70s low 80s though. Still gorgeous, but I do have to stoke the fires in the mornings.

Is there any mod to add (ingame) stuff to environment?
For example... we have Mara's temple (always vanilla talking) and I want to add some lanterns to the yard. Is there any mod to ADD stuff?

There is a mod ("Jaxonz Positione") that you can move/relocate vanilla stuff - a tree floating, you can place it correctly to the ground.

But... is any mod you can add vanilla things (ingame)?

You can use Jaxonz positioner to take a copy of a vanilla object and place it somewhere else, IIRC, and you can spawn I think most furniture/decorative/etc items that are like, a distinct thing (not sure about things like pieces of floor/architecture, though I don't see why not, they've got IDs, I presume) with the console and then use JP to move them. I haven't done it extensively but it's doable if a bit tedious.

Jaxonz Furnishings is a catalogue of, well, furnishings, that never got an SE port (afaik) but would probably work okay if self-ported https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57756

Ah... yes, I think I remember, Jaxonz Positione has indeed a "copy" option!
Okay... I'll check it (I want to add a lantern to some buildings (outside, over the door).
xybolt Dec 22, 2024 @ 5:19am
be careful with using Jaxonz' positioner on large worldspace cells such as city maps or even the tamriel world map. When fixating a position, it creates a static reference! It is not a problem in smaller cells such as your hearthfire houses as the list of static references are smaller.

I use it to correct a thing or two yes. It happens that I added a mod and did not notice a jumps-in-eye mesh clipping when testing it. So I move the "bad" one a bit so that it does not get that "attracting" ...
