Books in Skyrim; do you have a favorite?
Like most players, I would read little of the many books found throughout Skyrim. But after completing nearly all quests I am taking the time to read some of the more interesting texts and novels I pick up. The volumes of Barenziah are particularly noteworthy. (One seems to be a parody of the other)

Do you have a favorite book or series of books in Skyrim? Has anyone found any book that is totally "out there"?

The Real Barenziah series could almost be made into a film. Or even its own game. Very nicely done adventure, and it is my favorite.

Cabin in the Woods. It's mostly because I always find myself reading it in an Inn before my character goes to bed so it has a special history for me.

Most skill books are worth a read. Though many books in Skyrim were skill books in previous games, so its a harder judge of things now. But most books are worth it if you're into TES lore.

The Lusty Argonian Maid was a silly joke in Morrowind that people need to get over.

Cant pick any specific books I like most, but I like the ones with twists, which are many of said skill books, where the twist is the cause of the skill increase essentially.

Also, The Black Arrow books are pretty good.

The euphemisms in the Argonian Maid are funny, but I also like the device of the censored passage in the real Barenziah

"This passage has been censored by order of the Temple"

Funny, and helps flesh out the world of Skyrim.

Cabin in the Woods has almost a gothic feel to it.

I'm sure someone has read all the books of the Elder Scrolls. In the future I would hope that the stories could be interconnected somehow to find more quests and mysteries. Would be great too, if you got an achievement for reading books.

The world of Apocrypha is kind of ironic in a way too. It is a world made of books and knowledge, but its very purpose is mythical and imaginary.

Kolb and the Dragon is an interesting adventure book.

Vernaccus and Bourlour. Mostly because its the book that sold me on the idea that the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of books scatterered around the game are (generally) worth a read. I enjoyed the twist at the end.

Used to be Lusty Argonain Maid, but it's so hard to find a copy that doesn't have worn covers and pages stuck together.
