Gearing Farkas with upgraded Wolf Armor

The NPC won't wear the same armor even tho it's an upgraded one. Looking on the item IDs both armor (Farkas default one and the one I bought at Skyforge) are the same. How do we instruct with console commands so that Farkas will equip my Wolf Armor just made for him?

Farkas is a crappy follower, an obvious mistake made by Bethesda. Do you even know that he is not proficient with heavy armor to begin with? Nor he is any good with two-handed.
In fact he's not a warrior class at all. He's a thief! His primary skills are: Smithing, Speech, One-handed, Pickpocket.
Also he's annoying and dumb. So take my advice - leave him. There is nothing you can do to make him a decent follower.

you need to create a text bat batch file and type the four entry's below in it and how you use them is this way, you target the NPC with your cursor/pointer tell you see there base id and then you type bat < what you named the bat text file> and that should make Farkas wear the new items


removeitem <base id here> 1
unequipitem <base id here> 1
additem <base id here> 1
equipitem <base id here> 1


I used to use the above method to change the guards clothes in the levelers tower mod

sometimes you might have to type removeitem, unequipitem , additem , equipitem for each piece of armnor clothes you add and take away!..

A small caveats is that I have to leave 1 default gear in him or else he will revert back to his default armor.
