No one except the modder knows if it will ever happen

The mod Immersive Weapons is one of the easiest mods to convert from Oldrim to the new Special Edition. But the author of this mod doesn't authorize to make conversion of his work, so you better do it for private use only plus it takes less time and energy to port your own Oldrim mods into Special Edition than it does to argue about it online.

Good suggestion
but just to be clear, asking and wondering is not arguing

I thought hothtrooper was awaiting confirmation from other authors or something? Also do you know how to port a mod over? Not to necro of course.

01. Maybe. As long as it's not from him, you can be sure somebody stole it.
02. No; why should I?

Did you try just installing the mod manually from oldrim nexus? Ive done that for a few of his mods - amidianborn weapons and armor and a few others from other authors and they work just fine. Just hit download manually, than open NMM and hit the little green + at the top leftish of the screen and look for it. Itll probably work fine.

I thought there are differences between legendary and SE that require mods to be adjusted?

Have you tried using the old version in SE? You might have to extract the BSA and use the loose files, but it should work. I don't recall it requiring SKSE. I think it had an MCM menu, but most of those settings should be accessible via console anyway.

Immersive Armors had problems in SE, though. Ralof's pauldrons were missing in the intro, and a few other visual glitches. The Apotheosis Armor (looks like a football) still had the same issues with hands and feet, as well as a few other armors, but they had that with LE also.
