Search mistwatch for fjola, can't complete it
So when I found the guy, he died immediately after we entered the next tower. I kind of forgot about the quest for ages, and now I'm trying to tick off a bunch of old quests to clear up my quest log.
I still have this search mistwatch for fjola quest, but I can't complete it.

Any idea's? I have tried resurrecting here, but it just says she is bandit leader and she is neutral. I attacked her, and killed her. She has no wedding ring (I have her ring in my inventory already).

Does anyone perhaps know the code to resurrect her husband? Maybe that will end the quest if I can talk to him and give him the ring?

I must have just killed her and not realised it at the time, but with him being dead I never got any notification and just ignored the quest until now. I just assumed that the dead imperial in one of the cells was his wife and that was it because he was dead. I didn't realise at the time that this was this quest, I thought maybe it was just a random encounter.

Any help would be appreciated here, I hate having quests left in my journal that I can't complete.

hrm, I have just done this one myself. Why he is dead beats me, since his spawn location is set ina quiet room (filled with a few goodies). Alas, things in Skyrim can and do often go a little crazy (cue flying Horse and carts-with Horses' hooves still on the ground. Imagine the texture/mesh stretching lol)

Okay..
what about the 'complete quest' command?
Here. This is a good link in my Bookmarks;

Good luck :104:

Yes I met him in a quiet location but after I spoke to him and he told me about his wife being there somewhere, I carried on to the exterior balcony area and he followed me.
I thought that was normal, that you were supposed to just help him to find her, not do it for him. But as soon as we walked into the next tower, he died immediately from bandit attack.
I don't know why he followed me, but that's what happened.

I would rather actually finish the quest if possible, but if not I will do the complete quest command in console, so thanks for the info there.

He is supposed to stay in that first room. Ive never heard of this bug before. Reloading a previous save would be my first recourse.
Not really possible to reload as it was like 50+ hours ago that it happened?
I just never noticed that it was this quest, so I ignored it. When I saw the dead imperial woman in the cell I assumed she was his wife and because he had died the quest would be gone from my journal. Since I was in the middle of a big fight with a bunch of bandits at the time I didn't pay too much attention and just moved on.

After I got to the top I killed the bandit leader quickly, took the wedding ring from her and then assumed that finding Fjola had appeared in my journal as a part of finding the ring. I never bothered to look where the quest was supposed to take place, as I was on another quest at the time and so I just carried on and forgot about Fjola completely.

After looking at the console command for the quest complete command, I can't find the quest ID for this particular quest.

I'm just going to have to wait I think until there are fewer quests in my journal, and then I can use the console command to list them all and find it that way.

Thanks for the help anyway.
Was he still talking as you left thru the door?

The reason I ask this is because; If NPC's are still talking to you while you are exiting through a door, they will load into the cell with you to finish off what they were saying to you, much like you may have noticed back in the towns, like entering a shop or your Breezehome to sleep/save, an NPC who was talking to you outside is suddenly inside with you while they finish off what they were saying.

This particular quest is a f**ing annoying irritating one anyway. SPOILER BELOW:
All it is, is his wife has become a bandit and wants you to get rid of him by telling him she's dead or whatever, so that he can p**s off and leave her alone. You are left with junk in the form of her wedding ring and that is it!

complete quest with console then KILL THEM BOTH FOR WASTING YOUR F***ING TIME!
