Altmer character saying things in combat?
My Altmer character will say things like "Fall to the Thalmor!", or "Fear the Thalmor!" when I swing a weapon sometimes. What mod would do this? The only one I can think of is Alternate Start because I picked to start in the Thalmor Embassy. Other than that I doubt any mod I have would add something like that.

Yeah I can't imagine a Khajiit shouting honestly. It may also be the Cutting Room Floor, I forgot about that. And of course I knew, maybe I am an Elven supremacist? o.o Nah, just felt like something new and different.

Well the Stormcloaks are obviously a weaker threat than the entirety of the Empire, and won't be able to rebuild on their own. But since there's no kill both sides option I'd probably go with the Imperials, just for role playing sake.

That would probably be it! :claugh:

If you don't want to play as an Elven supremacist, I'd advise you to pick a different start. Why did you choose to start as a Thalmor anyway? Did you not know what they're about?

Not all high elds are Thalmor lol, also the line of kings are technicly all dragonborn and their bretons.

It's from Alternate Start. If you don't want to be an Elven supremacist then remove yourself from the Thalmor faction with console commands, like so:

player.removefac 39F26

I agree, but you don't always need to go through the main quest, you can ignore it like I do 90% of the time.

Hmmm. Interesting. Considering that Ulfric is actually an unwitting Thalmor asset according to his dossier at the Thalmor embassy, I would think that as a Thalmor yourself, you'd want the Stormcloaks to win.
The Thalmor don't want either side to win, they want to war to go on as long as possible, they help both sides, they support the Imperials openly, and secretly supply the Stormcloaks.

They're all Bretons? Are you sure about that?

I hadn't played in years so I totally forgot about that. I didn't care about the story when I played it originally.

Good to know! But it sounds badass so as much as I don't like voiced protagonists I think I'll keep it.

That is a good way of thinking about it, to make both sides weaker. Too bad there's only 2 options.

The Septim line isn't pure human. This is according to in-game literature. They are part man and part mer (elven), aka Manmeri, aka Breton. Talos himself is supposedly a Nord according to the official story, but that might not be true. Accounts differ.

You do know a lot about the lore. I didn't know Bretons were half man and half mer, shows how many of the books I read throughout my time playing.

I've dug a lot into it. It's fascinating. There's a lot of stuff that's uncertain even to the people of Tamriel, which actually adds another depth of realism to it (if realism is a valid word to use when talking about a fictional universe of gods and magic). I will admit to not reading a lot of the books while in-game though, because the last thing I want to do while I am playing an action RPG is sit down and read a bunch of lore books. I think we're probably alike in that respect.

It is, but I felt like the lore to the Elder Scrolls is so overwhelming, in comparison to say Fallout. But I'll give it another shot this playthrough and actually pay more attention. Yeah really though, it's like the tapes in MGSV, just a lot of down time.

It's like a 2,000 piece jigsaw puzzle which has tons of missing pieces, and then different people came along and threw in several pieces from completely different jigsaw puzzles to deliberately mislead you.

Yeah I think that just about encapsulates it. :claugh::lol:

A series that spans over thousands of years and has back story and lore for every Era probably will get a little complicated to say the least.

So then the question is: If you're an Elven supremacist, what side do you want to win in Skyrim's civil war?

If Ulfric wins, he's going to kick all the Thalmor out. But! It weakens the Imperials, making it easier for your buddies to defeat them in the next great war.

If the Imperials win, your buddies get to stay in Skyrim and arrest and torture worshipers of that filthy human Talos guy who is a stain on your racial pride. But! The Imperials also get to keep control of Skyrim and have access to Nordic troops and taxation, making them that much stronger of an enemy to fight against the next time.

In-game texts show clearly that the Thalmor favours neither side. They want the Status Quo of open conflict to remain. It benefits them most when the Empire has to dedicate resources to Skyrim - divide and conquer.

Yes, I am aware of that. But there is no questline for that option. You could just ignore it. But eventually, those unfinished entries in your quest log will nag at you...
Psch, true Thalmor ignore that with as much force as they ignore all lesser men an dmer. <.<

It's a shame they still act so hostile and rude to everyone. If only there was a mod to at least have them be an option, cause you can't really be pure evil in Skyrim.
