Specific instant crash when climbing high hrothgar.

When climbing high hrothgar,just past the two ice wraiths,when going down the steps and walking a little and then going back up again,the game crashes.It doesn't freeze,it doesn't show the windows is trying to find a solution message box,in the blink of an eye I'm staring at my desktop.

*SOLUTION*
I unnistalled the mod immersive patrols

mods involved ... probably a mod that did an invalid edit in that region.

Yeah propably,but I can't quite find the source,I've used loot and I have cleaned the main files(the dlc) which were the only dirty ones.My other mods are:

1)Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch
2)Cutting Room Floor
3)Relationship Dialogue Overhaul
4)No Radial Blur
5)Better Quest Objectives
6)Comb patch for 1),2),3)
7)Swimm
8)Reverb and Ambiance Overhaul
9)Immersive Patrols
10)Darker Nights
11)Comb patch for 5) and 2)

So some really light modding,with a few texture mods here and there that obviously don't show up as plugins.I don't know which one of them could cause it.

I had this same issue.. I just waited a week in a bed in a different area (internal) and it fixed itself :o

You can also try staring at the ground.. that also worked for me.

I had this kind of problem at the Shrine of Talos for the Solitude Quest for the Jarl. Crashed 4 times upon approaching it. I did what Oven did last night, went somewhere else for a while, came back, no crash.

Ok so I fast traveled to whiterun,resterd 24 hours,and it still crashes at the same spot :(

Try a week. 24 hours never worked for me

ok so im not alone, i have this SAME exact issue in th SAMe EXACT spot. ill try the waiting thing... im too frustrated right now to attempt it....~

rested for a week @ dragonsreach and the problem was not resolved :(

Alright... Disable all your mods to see if the issue is still happening (which was the case for me), If thats right then.. I guess it's just the game bugging out >Classic Bethesda< and you'll have to find a work around... if it's High hrothgar and you're trying to get the the greybeards you can teleport to the internal cell up there with the console command 'coc highhrothgar'

The courtyard at the back of the temple should be fine (or atleast it was for me) but if you exit out the front door you'll crash.

If not then you can reinstall your mods one by one to find the culprit.

That's pretty much the only advice I can give :(

i uninstalled all my mods and was still having an issue ill try the console command i suppose if i atleast get the spot discovered i can just fast travel

Yeah here's an update,it still crashes just at unexpected times :') ,at least I can make some progress but I must spam F5

I have the same problem in skyrim vr and disabling Immersive Patrols didn't solve it for me
but I'm almost certain it's one of my mods cus when I tried disabling all of them the passage worked. Too bad I have 89 enabled.

OH MY GOB I FINALLY SOLVED IT.

3 days of staying past 4 am, looking through forums and finding nothing, checking all mods one by one and I finally found a method that worked for me.

1.Find mods that alter the script (of a place that crashes or in general)
2.Remove them like 3 at a time and check if the game works after each burst.
3.If the game works list all mods in your pack that works (a good way is by doing |dir /b>*.txt in cmd)
4.List all of the mods that you want (like above)
5.Compare two lists and remove duplicates
6.Check all non duplicate mods one by one to see which one causes the problem.
7.Live without it.

For me the mods that caused a crash were

mihail watcher
mihail wraiths
faster horses


BTW
Immersive patrols worked fine for me.
