How do i make a custom script for a mod?
I know the coding part. I'm looking for the folder format part.

In the standard version of skyrim, I had to extract scripts.rar into the scripts folder. I ended up with data - scripts - source - (All of my scripts here). I could then create a new script by using extend: "activemagiceffect" and the like.

Yet extracting scripts.zip for the SE ends up with data - scripts - source - scripts - (all my scripts here). I tried moving things around but no matter what i do, i cannot create a custom script because the CK cannot detect the Activemagiceffect script to extend it.

Can anyone who is able to make a custom script please tell me the file/folder locations you have "Activemagiceffect" in.

Thank you very much.

So when you download the 'new' creation kit upon launching it will ask if you want to extract the scripts archive. It extracts them to Data/Source/Scripts/ (all scripts here including activemagiceffect) so it's the other way around in comparison to oldrim which is Data/Scripts/Source.

Looking at the archive, manual extraction would produce the same result, so I am really not sure how or why you ended up with an extra directory. Where did your dialogue views folder end up?

Thanks renkindled. I was actually asking on behalf of somebody else who was following my instructions based on my experience with the original. (I'm having issues with my SE and SE CK atm but helping some people with mods anyway.)

We weren't aware that they had been flipped and i think he extracted to the "scripts" folder since that is what i did in the original. I appreciate having the updated information. TYVM.
