I can't seem to craft arrows.

I remember i could with Legendary Edition. Do i have to do the indtro for Dawnguard or something?

You have to have the appropriate Smithing perks to craft certain arrows at the forge.

I have everything except the Dragon Smithing perk.

Do you have any mods that might have altered something in the Smithing area? If you do, they may have changed a formula.

The only active mod i have is to be able to adopt multiple children for the Hearthfire expansion (doesn't feel right to only have 2 kids with those huge houses available. And even that mod only changes a couple of lines so it shouldn't be that.

Honestly, I don't know then. I mean all you need after getting those perks is some firewood and the appropriate ingot.

might have to actually start the dawnguard questline, I know you need to go to the forge in fort dawnguard to make crossbow bolts. might let you craft arrows there.

I know this may sound like a silly question, but for the benefit of the enquiry/support;

Is the issue that you can you see the arrow option in the menu, but can't craft them?

Or is it that arrows are not showing up in the menu?

The next question, indeed, seeming silly again but for the sake of elimination, have you got the necessary materials? This second question will only apply if the first is a yes.

(when the items are greyed out they aren't really greyed out that much, not enough imo).

Well, just rechecked, and they have suddenly shown up in crafting. And no, i haven't done anything Dawnguard related yet (except defend whiterun from some vampires, although i'm not sure if that was before i checked if i can craft them).
So basically anyone with this issue should give it some time and they might show up as they did for me. Weirdest bug ever.
Thank you all for the possible solutions, i'm sure someone will be able to use them in the future. :)

I think crafting arrows was part of the Dawnguard DLC, I remember in the beginning you could buy them but not craft them. You need firewood and the appropriate ingots to craft them, but definately part of one of the DLCs (probably Dawnguard)
