Music plays, but no game?

So my brother got special edition. We started it up, pressed continue, then when it finished loading, we heard music but saw no game. Essentially, everything on the menu was fine. I moved our saves over from the original skyrim we got on the pc a year ago. We started our most recent save, it loaded for a bit, then it went to a black screen with the skyrim music playing but we saw nothing except black.
I'll post pc specs here.
(And if you're wondering why he doesn't post it, he's 9 ;P)

I think it may have to do with mods we installed for Skyrim colliding with SE.. don't know. Hope someone can help.
(Btw, we did restart the pc :P)

You can't use the save of the original on the special edition. The original is 32bit and the Special Edition is 64bit. The memory address, pointers in the coding is not the same and it won't work.

You have to start a new game.

unfortunately still no game. sounds like a horse sniffing?? Assuming im stuck in the intro. still no gameplay.

also the framerate freezes. maybe the game is frozen but sound isnt?
