I don't think armor rating affects magic resistance.

Ever bothered with lowering the difficulty?

Look at the part about cap. And then get some elemental resistances.

What level are you? Have you tried using soul tear?

The fun thing about Briarhearts is that if you sneak up on them and remove their heart from their inventory, they die instantly

I got past them, I do have elemental resistance already but I don't have magic resistance (probably should make an enchantment for that), I'm level 60

Magic resistance is so OP. If you have enough on your armor you can be completely immune to several enemy types automatically.

No you can't. You will take damage but it is reduced. Capped at 85%

Armor cap is 567, anything above is wasted.

No its not, I could care less what the wiki says, my game experience tells different, I fought the same enemys after I upgraded and now my health goes down slower as I expected.

its only the briarhearts that does this to me cause of the magic damage to health

It has been proven time and time again by many different people that 567 is the armor cap.

Fine then try playing with only 567 armor rating against enemys and you will see how much more difficult it will be.
