nexus mod manager "used by another process error"
when im tyring to install mods after downloading them with nmm this is the error i get
i tried moving the mod out of nmm folder and installing it from somewhere else . didn't work
i tried uninstalling nmm and installing it again .didn't work
i updated my .NET framework . didn't work
turned off windows defender .didn't work
all of these solutions worked for other players but not for me
im tired of nmm giving stupid errors that no one else gets with the same cause as me
Also some times it gives me another error for the same mod:
"The execution has failed due to a bug in SeveZipSharp"
i tried changing settings in Mod options but with every new format other than seven zip it gave me the same error

Is your NMM in location that might cause Windows User Account Control to intefere with it? This sounds like either Windows of third party security application is checking the file.

This is always a bit weird one. No application should be using mods, unless they are trying to do a security scan on them.

Have you tried installing NMM outside Program Files (x86), or running it as administrator? .NET Framework should cause this issue. It would give another warning.
I had an anti-malware called Bytefence that i dont even remeber installing it
I uninstalled it, restarted my computer and nmm installed the mod without giving me any of those errors
Thanks alot

So some security application was indeed holding them back? I suspected as much.

Good that you got it sorted out. :)
