The most reliable and safest way is to use the face sculptor in the Ratway near the Thieves' Guild.

if you head to the Ragged Flaggon in Rifton there is a priest looking individual sitting alone, that is the Face sculptor.....
or you could do the ~ Showracemenu <enter> ~ not as effective

it's plenty effective so long as that's all you're doing with it
if you start changing, like, your name or race, then trouble's 'a coming

the face sculptor is definitely the safest option for what the OP wants

i just go to a barber and eat less calories daily, im still pretty fugly but it works

showracemenu is fine for cosmetics, but changing gender, name, or race will force your health, stamina, and magicka values to equalize, if I recall correctly.

showracemenu is fine for cosmetics, but changing gender, name, or race will force your health, stamina, and magicka values to equalize, if I recall correctly.
Hence my original comment, not as effective, tweeking the character this way causes issues.
