TESTED - Survival Warm/Cold Icons only appear via Steam launcher

I have been very puzzled by the Survival Mode's warm/cold Icons not appearing in my game.
(The warm/cold icons are the sun and snowflake icons you see next to the compass, when you are in a warm or cold area.)

They don't appear even if I ran an unmodded, basic game, using a mod manager.

After much testing, I realize that the icons will only appear in game, IF SkyrimSE is started up via the Steam launcher. Using the a mod manager to open the skyrim launcher will still disable the icons.

Its like any non-offical mods or mod managers are frowned upon. You must use the Steam game launcher and therefore only have access to the offically allowed mods or the Creation Club content will not work entirely as shown.

I'm not sure why this is the case, but I have tested this multiple times and is certain the Survival mode warm/cold icons only appear this way.

If this is a bug, please fix it.

That is because Frostfall (read survival mode) was never meant to do anything like that

Survival mode should work as marketed regardless of how a player wants to organize his/her mods.

It should not be dependent on the Steam launcher.

Even if Survival mode is based off Frostfall, it is no excuse for making a partially working product.
