Deleting Survival mode safely
Due to compatability issues with the Unoffiical Patch, i'm looking to remove the Survival mode ESL from my game.
I know there are some dangers when removing mods from save games though. Is just deleting the ESL from the data folder a safe thing to do and resume on my current save?

Or the alternative I have is loading a save from before the CC was released, which I imagine should not have any mod changes since then "baked" in to it right?

There is a patch to resolve the conflicts:

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12655

I've been running both with this patch without any issues.
once a mod like that is installed, you can't just remove it from the save game. That mod like all mods that change major files will always leave pieces in your save file and corrupt the save eventually if you just remove it.
You will have to start a new game. Use Frostfall and Realistic Needs & Diseases and it will do pretty much the same thing.

Even in a save created before I installed the mod? Made one in the hopes i'd be able to start over if I ran in to any problems with the Survival mode/CC update

That's..bleh if that's the case. Thanks for the response, i'm aware of Frostfall/Ineeds, they are fantastic mods, but i'll probably just play without any kind of survival mods for the time being.

You /can/ uninstall Survival, but I have no experience with doing so and know no one who has played their game after removing it mid-way through.

You have two files in Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data

ccqdrsse001-survivalmode.esl
ccqdrsse001-survivalmode.bsa

Remove those two and Survival should be removed from your game until you install it on your own again.

But as I said, I am unaware of the consequences since it's sort of new.

Yes, get rid of that abomination.

If you have a save made prior to the installation, you should be good to go. For full information as regards the removal of mods, see:

Yea that's what i'm trying to figure out. I know with other mods it's a major no no to uninstall mods, I guess at this point i'm trying to understand whether or not saves from before said mod was installed is safe, or if it's some how baked in to every single save you have once installed?

Exactly what I was looking for, wasn't aware this was posted. I should be safe with my back up save then, thank you!
