Did you change the timescale of the game? That sometimes happens to one of the Riverwood children when the timescale has been reduced from the default of 20 - as well as some merchants getting their operating hours thrown off. (Both of these once happened in a test game of mine when I had reduced the timescale to 12, and it could not be fixed). Apparently changing timescale can disrupt AI packages, causing minor glitches like this.

Other than the above, don't know of a reason for it, and don't know if it is fixable other than by starting a new game, going back to a point before it occurred (with default timescale), or, in this case, use of a console command (which is usually not a good idea with named or unique NPCs).
timescale? dont think so. only CC ive used was to re-set an instance.
hmm might just use one of the console command to move the kid a few feet to get him out of what looks like a divot in the road.
Note about timescale: might only cause glitches if changed during a game. I started a new game with a modified time scale esp and it works great.

found a mod that lets you play sims with the NPCs, but i dont think tis worth doing all that just to shove a kid a foot and a half.
any other ideas?

isnt that for items?
let me check the list...

ooh a shove/pull command.
pushactoraway <ID> <distance> Attract or repel the target in relation to the Dragonborn by the specified amount.

page also said i can skip the ID by targeting items/NPC does that work?

you can force ressurect them to see if they move again. open the console and type this ressurrect 1 or something like that.
ok so i do need to put in the refID apparently
RefID: 0001348B

ok shove didnt work, he jsut went back to the spot, so he's not stuck its some sort of glitch.
prolly why his folks arnt in their proper places for this time of day either.

You can use the mouse to click on the npc to make them the target, then type "resurrect" without quotes and press enter. Also...do you have the Nightengale armor equipped? That can have the same affect.

nope no nightingale armor. (new-ish charater lvl 8.)
1. the kid's not dead
2. was told that command messes up the game, hence why i tried the shove command instead.

You can set the timescale in the intro as soon as the console becomes available (screen will still be black - when you hear the horse's footsteps) and it doesn't mess with anyone's schedule. They follow the timescale. If you jack with it while in a city, it can mess things up.

As for the kid - get better at Sneak. If he can see you sneaking, he'll watch.

However, the console command you're looking for is moveto (player.moveto a selected reference to move the player to the selected reference, or moveto player to move a selected reference to you - this is handy for missing NPCs if you've previously selected them).

If it's critical, you can use tdetect (toggle detection). You become basically invisible to the AI.

If you note the ID of a given reference before hand, and then select the kid, you can move him there. Like the fron door of High Hrothgar. Or the bottom of Lake Illinalta. Or the cattle cages in Castle Volkihar. Or the Boneyard in the Soul Cairn where you fight Durnhevir.
uhh ok so would the right format to bring him to me...

moveto 0001348B

moveto player 0001348B

i think ill move him back into his family house, that seems to be part of ... whatver this is.

things must have got borked during the last part of unbound due to encumberment.

prid 1348b
moveto player

this is what you want, So many bad commands and advice in this thread I find it hard to believe so many people who do not know the right answer giving answers anyway
code first then? ok.
