Oh boy Skyrim SE won't launch after modding
I recently downloaded NEXUS and about 6 mods, but after activating these mods I can't lauch Skyrim anymore
I'll press Play, the menu will disappear, and nothing will happen
I'm guessing it's because I activated the mods since it was working just fine before I did
Maybe it has something to do with the load order?

Try using LOOT, then try opening the game again. If no luck, deactivate your mods, and open the game again. If it works at that point, reactivate your mods one by one til you find the culprit.

What exactly is LOOT if you could elaborate?

Install loot which is on the nexus. It will sort your load order which may be incorrect. You cant just install and activate mods they need to be in certain order or your game will crash.

LOOT is Load Order Optimization Tool.

It does what he said. ^^^^

Coolio, I'll try that out and see how it goes!

Alrighty so, I downloaded LOOT and managed the load order but Skyrim still won't load, I'll start removing some and see if they'll work

Like mods? I have about 37 in total including plugins from the menu

So I disabled all 6 of the nexus mods and skyrim actually launched, it did have something to do with them at least

I managed to keep 3 mods installed; Immersive Weapons, Armor, and Convenient Horses activated interchangably would cause Skyrim not to launch.

What were the other 3

Rustic Children, Total Character Makeover, and Bethesda Performance Textures. They're all basically graphical improvements while the others have been item expansions.

Had the same issues as you bud.

The old game works, but not the new one.

Even after uninstalling the game and re-downloading, yet again... will not boot up.
Mods not enabled.

Total character makeover should not be the cause of the crash never had an issue with it so that should be good to reuse.
